Location : Brampton ON

Role Summary :-

Responsible for the design, administration, change implementation, and incident resolution of enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI) services using BlueCat and Akamai platforms. The role ensures high availability, secure name resolution, and compliant DNS operations across on‑premises, cloud, and internet‑facing environments.

Key Responsibilities

BlueCat DDI (BAM & BDDS)

· Administer and support BlueCat DNS, DHCP, and IPAM platforms across corporate and cloud environments

· Create, maintain, and govern:

o DNS zones, sub‑zones, views, and resource records

o DHCP scopes and IP address allocations

· Plan, deploy, and validate DNS changes on targeted BDDS instances, ensuring no unintended global impact

· Configure and support:

o DNS forwarding

o View‑based resolution

o Inheritance and precedence behavior

· Perform advanced troubleshooting, including:

o DNS cache validation

o Query analysis

o Log review and packet capture analysis

· Ensure DNS configurations align with security, availability, and compliance standards


Akamai DNS

  • Create and manage DNS records on Akamai, including:
    • Zone onboarding
    • CNAME creation
    • Production and staging promotions
  • Coordinate DNS changes and data consistency between:
    • Akamai
    • BlueCat IPAM
    • SDM
    • PCB DNS
  • Support Akamai‑related:
    • DNS cutovers
    • Rollbacks
    • Post‑change validation activities
  • Partner with application, firewall, and infrastructure teams for Akamai onboarding and ongoing updates

Secondary Skills

  • Cisco Routing & Switching
    • Understanding of core routing and switching concepts to support DNS‑related network troubleshooting

  • Network device management
  • Firmware upgrades and lifecycle management
  • Dashboard and report creation

Compensation: We are offering an annual salary of $77,500 to 91,000
