About the role
As an Oracle EPM Infrastructure Engineer, you will make an impact by delivering a complex on-premises Hyperion upgrade for a major enterprise client. You will be responsible for the hands-on installation, configuration, and migration of Oracle EPM/Hyperion environments across multiple tiers and environments. This is a technical infrastructure role for someone who thrives on complex enterprise system upgrades and wants to see their work directly enable better financial planning and analytics. You will be a valued member of the Cloud Infrastructure and Security team and will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure a seamless and thoroughly tested implementation.
In this role, you will
• Perform out-of-place installation and configuration of Oracle EPM 11.1.2.x and/or 11.2.x on new VMs, covering 3-4 Planning applications and an ODI server across 3 environments
• Execute multi-tier upgrades and migrations of existing Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and ODI applications to the new environment
• Administer and configure WebLogic application server as part of the EPM infrastructure stack
• Manage Oracle Database connectivity and configuration to support EPM application integration
• Configure and validate custom API scripts, Essbase scripts, and ODI integrations on the upgraded platform
• Apply patches and maintain EPM environments in alignment with Oracle support and security requirements
• Collaborate with the client application team, who will handle application-level tasks, to ensure all components are thoroughly tested post-migration
• Maintain infrastructure documentation including environment diagrams, configuration baselines, and runbooks to support knowledge transfer
• Implement role-based access controls and data protection mechanisms across EPM environments to safeguard sensitive financial information
• Establish monitoring and alerting practices for EPM infrastructure to proactively address stability and performance issues

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in New York, NY. What you need to have to be considered
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle EPM/Hyperion infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and patching of EPM 11.1.2.x and/or 11.2.x
• 7+ years of experience with WebLogic administration and configuration
• 7+ years of experience with Oracle Database connectivity and configuration in an EPM context
• 7+ years of experience executing upgrades or migrations of complex, multi-tier enterprise systems
• Hands-on experience with Essbase, Hyperion Planning, and ODI infrastructure
• 5+ years of experience with networking fundamentals including load balancing, DNS, firewalls, and SSL/TLS
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

• Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud or hybrid EPM environments
• Oracle Enterprise Performance Management certification or equivalent cloud EPM certification
• Familiarity with financial planning and analytics processes in an enterprise setting
• Experience working with finance or MCIT teams in a large organization

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $95,000 - $110,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
