TPM & RGM Practice SME

About the Role

Cognizant’s Industry Solutions Group (ISG) is seeking a senior TPM & RGM Practice SME for the Consumer Goods practice. This individual will serve as Cognizant’s primary domain authority for Trade Promotion Management and Revenue Growth Management — driving pre-sales solutioning, building platform alliances, representing Cognizant at industry forums, and providing functional advisory support on client engagements.

Primary platform focus: Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud TPM (first preference) and XTEL TPM/RGM (second preference).

Key Responsibilities

Domain & Solutioning Leadership

• Serve as the TPM/RGM domain authority across Cognizant’s Consumer Goods practice — designing end-to-end solution architectures covering trade planning, fund management, promotion execution, deduction management, and RGM analytics.

• Lead client solution design workshops and discovery sessions, driving alignment between business objectives (volume, margin, trade ROI) and platform capabilities.

Pre-Sales & Bid Support

• Lead RFP/RFI responses as the primary TPM/RGM domain voice — authoring solution narratives, effort models, and PoC demonstrations for Salesforce CG Cloud and XTEL engagements.

• Collaborate with Sales and Delivery teams on pursuit strategy and competitive positioning; build and maintain reusable solution accelerators, proposal templates, and reference architectures.

Thought Leadership & Practice Development

• Publish whitepapers, point-of-view papers, and industry blogs on TPM/RGM trends, platform innovations, and CPG commercial technology; represent Cognizant at conferences and speaking engagements.

• Build and contribute to Cognizant’s TPM/RGM CoE — defining best practices, developing delivery playbooks and reusable assets, and mentoring junior consultants within the Consumer Goods practice.

Alliance & Partnership Management

• Serve as Cognizant’s primary relationship manager with key TPM/RGM platform partners — Salesforce CG Cloud, XTEL, and relevant ISVs — nurturing joint GTM engagement, co-sell pipeline, and aligned solution roadmaps.

• Track partner roadmaps and identify partnership opportunities with CPG ecosystem players (o9, Anaplan, BluePlanner) to extend Cognizant’s TPM/RGM service portfolio; develop joint collateral and partner sales plays.

Industry Forum Participation & External Engagement

• Represent Cognizant at CPG technology conferences and industry forums (Salesforce Consumer Goods Summit, CGT events, XTEL user groups); deliver presentations and panel discussions on trade transformation and AI-driven RGM.

• Engage analyst communities (Gartner, Forrester, IDC) to position Cognizant’s capabilities; build an external professional network across CPG trade marketing and technology communities to generate leads and surface new service opportunities.

Techno-Functional Lead — Customer Project Support

• Serve as senior functional advisor on select engagements — providing domain expertise during blueprint, fit-gap, and go-live phases without owning day-to-day workstream delivery.

• Act as the functional escalation point for delivery teams — resolving complex design decisions and conducting periodic quality reviews of solution documents and test plans.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Domain & Technical Skills

• Deep functional expertise in TPM (trade planning, fund management, promotion execution, settlement, deduction management, post-event analytics) and RGM (pricing strategy, pack-price architecture, mix management, net revenue optimization).

• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud TPM (primary) — account planning, fund configuration, promotion lifecycle, deduction management, and MuleSoft integration patterns.

• Hands-on experience with XTEL TPM/RGM (second preference) — trade fund setup, promotion planning, claims processing, and SAP/Oracle ERP integration architecture.

• Experience on at least 2 full-cycle TPM/RGM implementations; proficiency in delivery artifacts (BRDs, fit-gap documents, configuration workbooks, UAT scripts) and platform partner/alliance engagement.

Pre-Sales & Consulting Skills

• Excellent executive communication and presentation skills — able to influence VP/Director-level stakeholders; proven track record contributing to and winning CPG/Consumer Goods RFPs.

• Strong analytical and problem-structuring skills; ability to translate business challenges into platform solutions and produce high-quality proposals, PoVs, and solution collateral.
