About the Role
As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will make an impact by implementing and migrating Oracle database environments as a key contributor to the Stratos DB work package. You will be a valued member of the Infrastructure & Data Engineering team, working collaboratively with project leads, architects, and technical workstream owners to ensure a seamless and high-quality database migration delivery.
In This Role, You Will:
Lead and execute Oracle database schema migrations, ensuring data integrity, minimal downtime, and adherence to cutover planning milestones.
Perform performance tuning across Oracle environments, optimizing queries, indexes, and database configurations for peak operational efficiency.
Design and manage cutover planning activities, coordinating with stakeholders to define rollback procedures and go/no-go criteria.
Configure and maintain Oracle RAC and Data Guard environments to ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
Evaluate and apply migration tooling (e.g., Oracle Data Pump, GoldenGate, or equivalent), recommending the appropriate toolset for each migration scenario.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered
8+ years of Oracle DBA experience, including production environment ownership and management.
Proven hands-on experience with Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) and Oracle Data Guard configuration and administration.
Strong knowledge of database migration tooling such as Oracle GoldenGate, Data Pump, or equivalent migration frameworks.
Demonstrated experience in performance tuning at the database, SQL, and instance level.
Experience in cutover planning, including pre-migration testing, rollback strategy, and stakeholder coordination.
These Will Help You Stand Out
Familiarity with cloud-hosted Oracle environments (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS for Oracle, or Azure).
Knowledge of ITIL-based change management processes within enterprise IT environments.
Experience working within large-scale IT infrastructure transformation programmes or workpackage-based delivery models.
Scripting skills in Shell, Python, or PL/SQL for automation of DBA tasks.
