About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Team Lead to join our dynamic sales organization. In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs), drive pipeline growth, and play a key role in expanding UiPath's market presence. You will be responsible for developing prospecting strategies, coaching team members, optimizing lead generation efforts, and ensuring the team consistently achieves business objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities (Day-to-Day Activities)
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Development Representatives to achieve and exceed individual and team performance goals.
- Drive outbound prospecting initiatives including cold calling, email campaigns, social selling, and account-based outreach strategies.
- Monitor and manage team activity levels, pipeline creation, lead quality, and conversion metrics.
- Partner with Sales Leadership, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to optimize lead generation and territory planning strategies.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and skills development sessions to improve team effectiveness.
- Guide team members in qualifying opportunities using frameworks such as BANT, MEDDIC, and other sales methodologies.
- Analyze sales development performance data and provide strategic recommendations to improve pipeline generation.
- Ensure accurate documentation of prospecting activities, opportunities, forecasts, and reporting within Salesforce CRM.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new Business Development Representatives.
- Act as an escalation point for complex prospect conversations and strategic account development opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives to ensure seamless lead handoff and pipeline progression.
- Stay current on UiPath products, automation technologies, competitive intelligence, and industry trends.
Required Qualifications (Must-Have Skills & Experience)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales Development, Inside Sales, or related customer-facing roles.
- 1+ years of experience leading, mentoring, or coaching sales/business development professionals.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding pipeline generation, quota, or sales performance targets.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time management abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and sales engagement platforms.
- Ability to understand technical concepts and effectively communicate business value propositions.
- Experience using sales qualification frameworks such as MEDDIC, BANT, or Challenger methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading Business Development or Sales Development teams in a B2B technology or SaaS environment.
- Knowledge of automation, RPA, AI, and digital transformation technologies.
- Experience building scalable outbound prospecting and lead generation programs.
- Strong understanding of sales metrics, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Demonstrated success in developing high-performing sales teams.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales Operations, and Account Executive teams.
Salary and Other Compensation

We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between $71,100 - $112,000 CAD per year.
Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work experience, leadership experience, and other business-related qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental, and financial wellbeing.
