We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Duck Creek Insights Configurator to design, configure, and optimise analytics solutions within a large-scale insurance technology environment.

This role provides the opportunity to work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and technical delivery teams to build reporting, analytics, and data insights capabilities that support policy administration operations. You will leverage your expertise in Duck Creek Insights, SQL, and database technologies to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that improve operational visibility, compliance, and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and enhance Duck Creek Insights components to support policy administration reporting and analytics requirements.

• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable analytics configurations, dashboards, reports, and data views.

• Develop and optimise SQL queries, database objects, and reporting structures to support operational and management reporting needs.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to refine reporting requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.

• Design and validate data flows between policy administration systems and Duck Creek Insights to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.

• Develop and maintain data mappings, transformation logic, reporting views, and configuration documentation to support maintainability and governance requirements.

• Troubleshoot reporting, configuration, and data quality issues by analysing logs, database outputs, and configuration artefacts.

• Support deployment and release activities across development, test, and production environments while adhering to governance processes and quality standards.

• Implement data quality controls, validation rules, and exception-handling processes to improve the reliability of analytics and reporting solutions.

• Participate in solution design workshops and requirement walkthroughs to ensure reporting solutions meet evolving business and regulatory requirements.

• Perform performance tuning activities, including SQL optimisation, query analysis, indexing strategies, and reporting optimisation.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting frameworks, development standards, and delivery practices.

• Ensure all solutions comply with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements relating to policyholder and business data.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across business, technology, and support functions to deliver high-quality analytics outcomes.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience configuring and supporting Duck Creek Insights within insurance and policy administration environments.

• Strong experience developing analytics, dashboards, reporting solutions, and operational insights using Duck Creek Insights.

• Advanced SQL skills with experience developing complex queries, stored procedures, views, aggregations, and data transformation logic.

• Strong understanding of database concepts including tables, indexes, views, relationships, and performance optimisation techniques.

• Experience designing data models and reporting solutions that support policy administration and insurance operations.

• Understanding of insurance policy lifecycle processes including new business, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and policy servicing.

• Experience validating, reconciling, and troubleshooting data flows between policy administration platforms and reporting environments.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.

• Experience supporting testing activities, including data validation, report verification, defect resolution, and release support.

• Knowledge of data quality management, governance, audit, and regulatory reporting requirements.

• Experience working within Agile delivery environments and collaborating with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA teams, and technical stakeholders.

• Strong documentation skills with experience creating data mappings, technical specifications, reporting designs, and support artefacts.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly outcomes.

• Experience supporting production reporting environments and maintaining high availability for business-critical analytics solutions.
