Duck Creek Delivery Lead / Scrum Master
We are currently seeking an experienced Duck Creek Delivery Lead / Scrum Master to lead the successful delivery of insurance technology initiatives across Duck Creek Policy, Billing, and Insights platforms.
This role provides the opportunity to work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical delivery teams to drive Agile delivery excellence and ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and aligned to business objectives. You will act as the bridge between business and technology teams, facilitating collaboration, removing delivery impediments, and ensuring successful implementation of Duck Creek solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and release planning.
• Serve as the primary link between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment of priorities.
• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Duck Creek implementation projects across Policy, Billing, and Insights platforms.
• Work closely with Product Owners and business stakeholders to define project scope, delivery objectives, and implementation roadmaps.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Configurators, Developers, QA Engineers, Architects, and support teams.
• Track project progress, manage dependencies, and proactively identify and resolve delivery risks and issues.
• Ensure project milestones, sprint commitments, and release schedules are achieved in accordance with agreed timelines and budgets.
• Support backlog management activities, ensuring requirements are well-defined, prioritised, and ready for development.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across Agile processes, delivery practices, and team performance.
• Facilitate stakeholder communications, project status reporting, and governance forums.
• Remove delivery blockers and foster a collaborative environment that enables teams to perform effectively.
• Monitor project metrics and team performance to drive transparency and predictable delivery outcomes.
• Support release planning, deployment activities, and post-implementation reviews to ensure successful business adoption.
• Promote Agile best practices while balancing business priorities, technical constraints, and delivery commitments.
Skills & Experience
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Delivery Lead, Agile Project Manager, or Iteration Manager within large-scale technology delivery environments.
• Experience delivering projects involving Duck Creek Policy, Billing, Insights, or broader Duck Creek platforms.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid delivery approaches.
• Experience managing end-to-end software implementation projects from planning through deployment and business adoption.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Strong facilitation skills with experience leading Agile ceremonies and delivery governance activities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
• Strong project planning, dependency management, and risk management capabilities.
• Experience working within insurance, policy administration, billing, or financial services environments.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and enterprise technology delivery practices.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining focus on delivery outcomes and stakeholder expectations.
• Experience producing project status reports, delivery dashboards, and executive-level communications.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills with a proactive and delivery-focused mindset.
