As we continue to expand our Consulting team, we are looking for a Business Analyst with experience in Customer Due Diligence (CDD), KYC, customer onboarding, and customer service operations to support our clients in Germany.
About the Role
As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in analyzing, improving, and transforming customer due diligence and customer service processes. Working closely with business stakeholders, compliance teams, operations teams, and delivery partners, you will help define business requirements and deliver solutions that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
You will be a valued member of our Consulting team, collaborating with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams in an international environment.
In This Role, You Will
- Engage with business, customer service, compliance, and operations stakeholders to elicit, analyse, validate, and prioritize business requirements.
- Analyse customer onboarding, Customer Due Diligence, and customer service processes, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, functional specifications, and supporting documentation.
- Support the implementation of solutions related to customer onboarding, document verification, case management, service requests, and risk-based escalation.
- Act as the liaison between business and delivery teams, ensuring alignment, requirement clarity, and successful delivery outcomes.
- Monitor service performance and operational data to identify trends, recurring issues, and continuous improvement opportunities.
Work Model
At Cognizant, we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on the business requirements of this role, this is a remote position open to qualified applicants located in Poland.
Occasional travel within Germany may be required based on project and client needs.

What You Must Have to Be Considered
- Experience as a Business Analyst in Customer Due Diligence (CDD), KYC, customer onboarding, customer operations, or customer service environments.
- Strong experience in requirements gathering, stakeholder management, business process analysis, gap analysis, and functional documentation.
- Hands-on experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365, including requirements analysis, process mapping, and supporting business users.
- Good understanding of customer onboarding, Customer Due Diligence, document verification, case management, and risk-based escalation processes.
- Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, business process flows, and functional specifications.
- Good understanding of end-to-end sales processes, customer lifecycle management, and CRM-driven business operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Professional proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across Germany and international delivery teams.
These Will Help You Succeed
- Experience within Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or other highly regulated industries.
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
- AI-related certifications or practical experience applying AI solutions within business processes.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Familiarity with customer service management and case management platforms.
- Experience supporting business transformation, operational excellence, or process improvement initiatives.
- Professional Business Analysis certifications such as IIBA, CBAP, or PMI-PBA.
