AWS DevOps Engineer

Seeking a skilled AWS DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS. The role focuses on Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Pulumi), automation, cloud governance, and DevOps practices to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud environments. Experience with Ansible, Python, and enterprise cloud operations is highly valued.

Responsibilities
· Design, build, deploy and maintain Cloud solutions across public cloud offerings, e.g. AWS, Microsoft Azure.
· Participate in technology evaluation and reengineering teams to support strategy-definition and continuous process improvement activities.
· Develop, enhance, and maintain automation of cloud enablement tools.
· Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
· Participate in the design, implementation and management of workload automation initiatives.
· Adhere to firm Change Management, Problem Management policies and familiarity with ITIL or other formalized IT operations foundations.
· Support and enhance FinOps and Cloud governance practices
Skills Required
· Experience architecting cloud infrastructures on Amazon Web Services (AWS) for small, medium scale and enterprise level applications.
· Experience as an enterprise systems administrator in a client or server environment, including deployment automation tools, such as Ansible.
· Broad experience with cloud adoption, including application readiness assessment, prototyping of new environments, server builds, data migration, performance tuning of cloud environments.
· Technical knowledge of infrastructure components such as Cloud Networking, Storage, Linux/Windows.
· Strong knowledge and experience in Infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform/Pulumi or similar tools.
· Experience in DevOps procedures/processes working in an Agile environment.
· Experience in troubleshooting complex distributed environments pertaining to connectivity, application performance, and monitoring tools.
· Certifications in Amazon Web Services, including Solutions Architect, Developer, or Azure are highly desirable

Salary and Other Compensation:
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
Compensation: we are offering an annual salary between $56,650-$103,000
