Advantage ERP Application Platform Specialist

We are seeking an Advantage ERP application Platform Specialist to independently manage & troubleshoot all the issues reported in batch job execution ensuring uninterrupted transaction processing.

What you’ll do In the role, you will:

  • Ensure uninterrupted batch transaction processing without impacting the business

  • Independently work on Application development, troubleshooting and maintain transaction files with appropriate level of version controlling

  • Ensure Operational compliance and demonstrate functional understanding of various agencies and the associated transaction files as a part of Advantage ERP applications

  • Plan & coordinate with multiple stakeholders for a timely completion of all activities including development and QA for Forms and associated work

  • Liaise with & jointly work with various infrastructure support groups like servers, network, storage for troubleshooting

  • Understand the business environment, technical environment and the functional aspects of all the sub auxiliary systems and files, their interactions, failure points

  • Develop and periodically update all system documentations to ensure business continuity

  • Adhere to set processes, propose any improvements in the processes, update the knowledge repository regularly to ensure operations running smooth and environment is maintained fully stable

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Candidates with Engineering degree will be preferred

  • Deep technical skills in legacy Java including EJB, My SQL and Oracle Database

  • Experience in Shell Scripting

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills since the person needs to work across multiple teams

  • Willingness to work on-call at US non-biz hrs since the core batch jobs will run in the night and any failure in those activities will require the person to jump in to troubleshooting

  • Experience in business or functional analysis is very much desirable as this will give a good understand how various subsystems function
