About the role
As a manager – Product Portfolio Strategy Operations, you will make an impact by translating organizational strategy into measurable, repeatable outcomes. You will play a critical role in strengthening execution discipline, enabling data-driven decision-making, and ensuring alignment across leadership, product management, and engineering teams. Acting as a strategic connector, you will help ensure priorities are executed predictably and deliver meaningful business value.
In this role, you will:
Implement strategic frameworks and operating processes that translate high-level vision into actionable business cases, roadmaps, and execution plans
Enable portfolio prioritization and product lifecycle decisions through data-driven insights and analysis
Track and monitor progress of strategic initiatives to ensure predictable delivery and outcomes
Establish governance, reporting, and operating cadences to drive operational accountability
Facilitate alignment across leadership, product management, and engineering teams, proactively identifying and resolving execution bottlenecks
Lead retrospectives to assess whether strategic initiatives delivered intended business value
Design and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to provide leadership visibility into progress, risks, and outcomes
Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous improvement through feedback loops and iterative learning
Identify and implement process improvements that accelerate strategy execution and improve operational effectiveness

What you need to have to be considered
Bachelor’s degree in business, strategy, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
5+ years of experience in product strategy, portfolio management, strategy operations, or execution-focused roles
Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving measurable business outcomes
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to use data to inform decisions, prioritize work, and influence stakeholders
Experience with governance models, strategic frameworks, and performance metrics
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across senior leadership and delivery teams
Proficiency with data visualization and reporting tools
These will help you stand out
Experience operating in product-led or technology-driven organizations
Familiarity with AI-enabled tools applied to strategy, portfolio analysis, or operational decision-making
Background in continuous improvement, agile operating models, or transformation initiatives
Strong facilitation skills for leadership and cross-functional alignment forums

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $110K - $128K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
