Job Summary:

The Solution Architect acts as the bridge between product intent and technical execution, translating business requirements into clear, testable designs, integration views, and data needs. The role supports delivery by reducing ambiguity, improving data quality, and accelerating alignment across teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support the end‑to‑end solution design and technical outcomes for integrated delivery and test initiatives.
  • Act as the primary bridge between Project Managers and technical / integration teams to ensure requirements are clear, complete, and delivery‑ready.
  • Guide Project Managers and delivery teams to improve the quality of:
  • Functional requirements
  • Non‑functional requirements (performance, security, resilience, data, compliance)
  • Integration assumptions and dependencies
  • Provide solution engineering and architectural expertise across applications, platforms, and infrastructure.
  • Solicit, document, and present how applications integrate with upstream and downstream systems, including:
  • Application interaction models
  • Data flows
  • Interface contracts
  • Environment and platform dependencies
  • Create clear diagrams and visual views to communicate system integrations and solution scope to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Work closely with application teams, platform teams, and infrastructure to ensure environments and data are fit for purpose and aligned to solution intent.
  • Act as a technical support partner when engaging infrastructure teams, translating solution needs into actionable infrastructure outcomes.
  • Ensure solutions are operationally ready and support dependent services and orchestration requirements.
  • Maintain governance, traceability, and documentation of solution decisions, assumptions, and dependencies through Jira and Confluence.
  • Contribute to a collaborative engineering culture by proactively engaging stakeholders and driving clarity where ambiguity exists.
  • Everything as code and automation‑first thinking is expected as part of the solution mindset.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrated solution engineering or solution architecture experience within complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of end‑to‑end application landscapes and how systems integrate with upstream and downstream services.
  • Proven ability to work with Project Managers to shape high‑quality, delivery‑ready requirements, covering both functional and non‑functional needs.
  • Experience translating business and product intent into clear, testable technical designs and integration views.
  • Ability to solicit, analyse, and document system interactions, data flows, dependencies, and interface contracts.
  • Strong experience working with non‑production environments and ensuring they are fit‑for‑purpose for integrated delivery and testing.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to present complex technical concepts (including diagrams) to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration skills, working effectively across product, engineering, platform, and infrastructure teams.
  • Ability to work independently, proactively drive clarity, and navigate ambiguity in a fast‑paced delivery environment.
  • Strong documentation discipline with experience using Jira and Confluence to maintain traceability and governance
