About the role
As a SAP S/4HANA Test Lead – FICO, you will make an impact by leading end-to-end testing strategies and execution for SAP FICO and integrated business processes across ECC and S/4HANA landscapes. You will be a valued member of the delivery team and work collaboratively with business SMEs, functional consultants, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high-quality implementations and seamless business operations.
In this role, you will:
Lead test strategy, planning, and execution for SAP FICO and integrated modules (MM, SD, PP, P2P, OTC).
Collaborate with business SMEs to gather requirements and translate them into test scenarios, test cases, and validation frameworks.
Drive end-to-end (E2E) testing includes functional, system integration, and regression testing across SAP ecosystems.
Execute test cycles, analyze results, and ensure defect management through timely logging, triage, and resolution.
Develop and maintain key test artifacts including RTM, test strategies, and test plans.
Coordinate with offshore and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.
Identify risks/issues proactively and provide inputs to daily status reporting and governance forums.
Leverage test management and automation tools to improve quality, efficiency, and coverage.

What you need to have to be considered
10+ years of experience in SAP testing with strong expertise in SAP FICO and integrations (MM, SD, PP, P2P, OTC).
Proven experience in S/4HANA testing, including ECC to S/4HANA migration and implementation projects.
Hands-on experience leading testing efforts with 3+ years in a Test Lead role.
Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and FICO integration points.
Experience across functional, system integration, and regression testing methodologies.
Expertise in creating test strategies, test plans, RTMs, and managing full test lifecycles.
Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
Proficiency with test management tools (HP ALM, Jira, ADO) and automation tools (UFT, Tosca, Worksoft).
Strong communication skills with demonstrated experience in client-facing roles.
These will help you stand out
SAP FICO certification.
Experience supporting business development activities (estimations, RFPs, solutioning).
Exposure to building testing capabilities or practice development.
Ability to work independently in hybrid/on-site environments and collaborate across global teams.
Flexibility to travel based on client and project requirements.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $81,513 to $130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
