Senior .NET Developer
Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Senior .Net Developer (Hybrid) with 8+ years of experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. Responsibilities:
· Design and develop scalable backend services using ASP.NET Core Web API and Entity Framework to support critical business workflows.
· Optimize SQL queries and database schemas to ensure high performance, data integrity, and reliability.
· Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces using React.js aligned with business needs.
· Manage GitLab repositories, including branching strategies, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
· Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, implementing long-term solutions.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver high-quality releases.
· Apply secure coding practices and optimize application performance across systems.
· Document system architecture and ensure proper monitoring with logging and alerting mechanisms.
Qualifications:
· 8+ years of Strong hands-on experience in designing and developing enterprise applications using ASP.NET Core Web API and Entity Framework, with a focus on modular architecture and testability.
· Advanced proficiency in SQL, including schema design, complex joins, indexing strategies, and query optimization for both transactional and reporting workloads.
· Proven expertise in building modern single-page applications using React.js, including state management, component composition, and integration with RESTful APIs.
· Solid experience with GitLab for source control, including branching strategies, code reviews, and automated CI/CD pipelines for integration and deployment.
· Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, and clean code principles to build maintainable and scalable applications.
· Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and mocking frameworks within both the .NET and JavaScript ecosystems, ensuring high-quality and reliable releases.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $ 83,250 to $ 132,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
