Job Summary
Serve as a Principal Architect in the ISG unit with deep expertise in Temenos TIM methodology IRIS API framework and cards and payments domain. Design robust hybrid ready digital banking solutions that optimize transaction performance enhance security and align with enterprise architecture standards for global clients in a day shift role.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable banking and payments architectures that align Temenos TIM methodology with enterprise standards to support resilient digital channels and transaction processing
- Develop detailed solution blueprints that integrate IRIS API framework components to enable secure and reusable service interfaces across cards and payments platforms
- Guide end to end design of card issuance authorization clearing and settlement workflows to ensure high throughput low latency and regulatory compliance in production environments
- Coordinate with product engineering and operations teams to translate complex business requirements into feasible architecture designs for hybrid delivery models
- Review existing payments systems and identify modernization opportunities by applying Temenos TIM patterns and IRIS based integration strategies that reduce technical debt
- Optimize architecture for resilience and observability by defining patterns for monitoring logging alerting and fault tolerance across critical cards and payments services
- Define integration approaches that connect core banking platforms card management systems and external payment networks using IRIS APIs and secure data exchange mechanisms
- Produce clear architecture artifacts including context diagrams data flow views and nonfunctional requirement specifications that can be used by engineering teams in day shift operations
- Collaborate with security and risk stakeholders to embed strong authentication authorization and data protection controls across payment journeys and external interfaces
- Assess technology choices and reference architectures for hybrid work environments to ensure maintainability scalability and efficient collaboration across distributed teams
- Support performance engineering by defining capacity models throughput targets and performance baselines for critical card transactions and payment processing workloads
- Mentor senior engineers and architects on applying Temenos TIM methodology IRIS API framework practices and domain patterns specific to cards and payments solutions
- Contribute to enterprise architecture governance by presenting solution options documenting decisions and ensuring consistent adoption of standards in client engagements
- Participate in client workshops to explain architecture recommendations in clear business terms and demonstrate how proposed solutions improve customer outcomes in the payments space
- Document reusable patterns and accelerators for cards and payments implementations to create repeatable blueprints that support the organizations strategic growth
Qualifications
- Apply extensive experience of more than fifteen years in solution architecture within financial services to design complex cards and payments platforms that meet demanding reliability expectations
- Use deep knowledge of Temenos TIM methodology to define implementation phases work products and governance checkpoints that streamline delivery for banking transformations
- Leverage hands on expertise in IRIS API framework to specify interface contracts error handling approaches and service orchestration patterns suitable for enterprise scale systems
- Bring strong domain understanding of card issuing acquiring switching and digital payments to ensure that functional and nonfunctional requirements are accurately addressed in solution designs
- Demonstrate practical experience with integration of core banking systems payment gateways and third party fintech services in hybrid deployment models
- Apply strong skills in requirements analysis solution documentation and stakeholder communication to ensure alignment across product engineering and operations groups
- Use solid understanding of regulatory and compliance expectations in cards and payments such as risk controls and audit needs to design architectures that support compliant operations
- Exhibit familiarity with modern engineering practices including API first design microservice oriented architectures and cloud ready deployment patterns for financial solutions
- Show capability to collaborate effectively within hybrid work arrangements and across time zones while maintaining high levels of documentation quality and architectural rigor
- Display proven experience in guiding senior technical contributors and cross functional teams through complex architecture decisions without formal personnel leadership responsibilities
