About the role
As a Senior .NET Full Stack Engineer, you will make an impact by designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications that support critical business operations. You will be a valued member of the Engineering team and work collaboratively with product owners, architects, DevOps, and quality engineering teams to build modern, maintainable solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
In this role, you will:
- Design and develop end-to-end technical solutions using ASP.NET Core Web API, .NET Core, and React.js, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and alignment with enterprise standards.
- Build and optimize high-quality backend APIs, ensuring secure data handling, efficient database interactions, and reliable integration with internal and external services.
- Develop dynamic and reusable React.js UI components that deliver intuitive user experiences and maintain cross-browser consistency and accessibility.
- Drive application performance optimization through API tuning, database query improvements, and system profiling to support high-volume transactional environments.
- Ensure adherence to secure coding practices, including authentication, authorization, input validation, and secure configuration.
- Lead code reviews and technical mentoring, providing guidance on best practices, performance, and clean code standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements, estimate delivery, and support agile execution across sprint cycles.
- Support production readiness and incident resolution, including deployment support, monitoring, and post-release issue management.
Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2–3 days per week in a client or Cognizant office. What you need to have to be considered
- 7–11 years of experience in software development within enterprise environments
- Strong hands-on expertise in ASP.NET Core Web API, .NET Core, and React.js
- Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs, including data modeling and integration with relational databases
- Experience building modern single-page applications (SPA) using React.js, including state management and component design
- Solid understanding of secure coding practices, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in high-traffic systems
- Experience working in agile environments, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and CI/CD workflows
These will help you stand out
- Experience in cards, payments, or financial services domains, including transaction lifecycle and compliance considerations
- Exposure to microservices architecture and integration patterns using REST APIs
Experience working with DevOps tooling, build pipelines, and automated testing strategies
- Understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability practices

Compensation
The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $93,500, depending on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, subject to performance and applicable plan terms.
