Job Summary:
Azure VDI Specialist with 7 to 8 years of experience responsible for designing implementing and optimizing secure cloud based device management and virtual desktop solutions using Microsoft Intune and Azure Virtual Desktop. Role focuses on enhancing end user productivity ensuring compliance and delivering resilient hybrid cloud services that support business continuity and scalable growth in a global MNC environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement secure cloud based device management solutions using Microsoft Intune to support scalable enterprise operations and consistent user experiences across locations.
Configure and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop environments to deliver reliable and responsive virtual workspaces that enable hybrid work and maintain strong performance in a global context.
Monitor cloud device compliance and configuration baselines to ensure alignment with organizational policies and regulatory expectations while reducing operational risk and security incidents.
Coordinate with infrastructure and security teams to define standard configurations for devices and virtual desktops that support stability simplified operations and improved service reliability.
Develop and maintain automation scripts for enrollment configuration and updates of devices and virtual desktops to increase efficiency and reduce manual administrative effort.
Troubleshoot complex issues related to Intune policies application deployment and Azure Virtual Desktop sessions to restore service quickly and improve user satisfaction.
Document cloud architectures configuration standards and operational procedures to enable consistent support knowledge transfer and onboarding of new team members in the hybrid work model.
Collaborate with application owners to package test and deploy business applications through Intune and Azure Virtual Desktop while minimizing disruption and ensuring compatibility.
Analyze performance metrics and usage patterns across device management and virtual desktop platforms to recommend improvements that enhance stability and cost effectiveness.
Implement security controls such as conditional access compliance policies and endpoint protection configurations to safeguard devices data and user identities in the cloud ecosystem.
Coordinate planned maintenance and change activities for Intune and Azure Virtual Desktop environments to minimize impact on day shift users while maintaining service quality.
Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions that align with enterprise cloud strategies and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Guide peers and cross functional teams on cloud device management and virtual desktop best practices to encourage adoption of standard patterns and continuous improvement.
Required Skills:
· Minimum 6+ years of experience in Technical Application Support / Infrastructure Support within enterprise production and non-production environments.
· Proven experience in Windows desktop migration projects, including solutions such as Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
· Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash/Shell and PowerShell, with a focus on proactive system monitoring and optimization.
· Hands-on experience with Windows Patch Management and system maintenance processes.
· Solid experience managing Active Directory (AD), DHCP, and DNS services.
· Experience working with ITSM and monitoring tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, BMC Remedy, PagerDuty, Zeke, and Stonebranch.
· Knowledge of security patching and vulnerability remediation best practices.
