Job Summary
Senior SDET with four to six years experience will design and implement robust automated testing solutions for web and API platforms using Katalon and related tools in a hybrid work model. This role will collaborate closely with engineering and DevOps teams to integrate quality checks into CI CD workflows ensuring reliable releases that enhance customer trust in global travel technology offerings.
Responsibilities
Senior SDET Automation profile with strong focus on UI API automation framework driven testing and scalable regression coverage in Agile delivery models.
Hands on expertise in Katalon Studio for functional UI automation and building maintainable suites aligned to regression and release needs.
Strong API test automation experience using Rest Assured and Postman including validations test data handling and integration readiness checks
Proven CI CD enablement with modern pipelines and test reporting experience with GitHub including GitHub Actions and CI tools like Jenkins for continuous quality gates
Solid engineering hygiene version control branching practices defect triage test management and stakeholder-ready reporting to support reliable releases
- Analyze test results and production incidents to identify defect patterns prioritize remediation efforts and strengthen preventive quality controls across services and applications
- Collaborate closely with developers product analysts and business stakeholders to refine acceptance criteria and ensure that automated tests accurately reflect real world user journeys
- Review pull requests and code changes in GitHub with a focus on testability quality gates and automation standards that encourage reliable and maintainable delivery practices
- Document automation frameworks coding guidelines and operational runbooks so that testing approaches remain transparent repeatable and easy to adopt across distributed teams
- Mentor peers on best practices in API testing Katalon usage and continuous testing concepts fostering a culture of shared ownership for product quality and customer outcomes
- Coordinate defect triage activities by providing clear reproduction steps logs and impact analysis enabling efficient resolution and minimizing disruption to downstream users
- Partner with observability and support teams to align test scenarios with real operational metrics improving detection of edge cases that can affect large scale customer journeys
- Adapt automation coverage to evolving features and platform changes while maintaining focus on performance reliability and security aspects that support responsible travel technology
Qualifications
- Combine four to six years of hands on experience in software testing with a strong focus on designing robust automation frameworks for web and API applications in enterprise environments
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency with Katalon for authoring maintainable automated test cases managing test data and integrating execution results into project reporting practices
- Apply practical experience with GitHub for version control branching strategies and code review workflows that keep automation assets organized and traceable across teams
- Utilize proven exposure to CI CD concepts and tools to embed automated tests within build and deployment workflows ensuring consistent quality checks at every delivery stage
- Bring strong skills in RESTful API validation including request response verification schema checks and error handling scenarios that reflect realistic consumer interactions
- Leverage knowledge of SQL or similar query tools to validate data integrity across services and support detailed analysis of automation failures and production incidents
- Communicate clearly with cross functional partners through written and verbal channels enabling shared understanding of quality risks coverage gaps and mitigation strategies
- Adapt comfortably to a hybrid working model by using collaboration platforms and structured processes that maintain continuity of testing activities and knowledge sharing
- Apply any prior exposure to travel intermediaries or travel technology domains to design test scenarios that mirror booking flows partner integrations and regulatory considerations
- Demonstrate strong problem solving abilities attention to detail and accountability for delivering automation outcomes that align with organizational goals and societal impact through reliable travel solutions
