Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Application Support Engineer with strong experience in IIS, SQL, PowerShell, JavaScript, and exposure to RSA Archer. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can troubleshoot complex application issues, optimize system performance, and support enterprise web and GRC applications. This role requires strong analytical skills, ownership mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

In this role, you will:
· Install, configure, and manage IIS servers and web applications, including deployment, authentication (SSO/NTLM), authorization (Active Directory/RBAC), and troubleshooting
· Monitor system health, gather logs, and implement alerting and performance optimization strategies, including load balancing considerations
· Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures; perform troubleshooting and performance tuning
· Conduct root cause analysis for application, database, and integration issues and implement sustainable solutions
· Automate operational and administrative tasks using PowerShell, including scripting, scheduling, and API integrations
· Support API integrations and asynchronous processing using JavaScript, including debugging and logging
· Support and maintain RSA Archer platform, including modules, user permissions, and basic troubleshooting
· Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams while managing multiple priorities and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery
What you need to have to be considered
· Experience in application or production support in a Windows-based environment
· Strong hands-on expertise in IIS, SQL Server, PowerShell, and JavaScript
· Exposure to RSA Archer or similar GRC platforms (preferred)
· Solid understanding of web technologies, APIs, and system integrations
· Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
· Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail
· Self-driven with strong ownership, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $[124,000 - 143,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
