Job Summary
Serve as a subject matter expert in digital mapping and geographic information science applying advanced cartographic techniques to support high technology initiatives in a hybrid work model. Use strong English communication skills to translate complex spatial data into clear actionable insights that guide strategic decisions and deliver practical value for clients and society.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex spatial datasets and transform them into accurate high quality maps that support high technology product design and operational decision making in a hybrid work environment.
- Design cartographic outputs that balance visual clarity technical precision and usability so that internal teams and clients can interpret geographic patterns and trends without ambiguity.
- Develop mapping workflows that streamline data collection validation and integration from multiple sources and formats to ensure reliable and timely updates to critical map products.
- Collaborate with high technology product managers engineers and analysts to define mapping requirements and align geospatial solutions with wider product roadmaps and business priorities.
- Document mapping standards naming conventions and data schemas in clear English so that cross functional teams can consistently apply and maintain geospatial assets over time.
- Validate map accuracy through systematic quality checks including spatial consistency reviews and attribute verification to reduce errors and enhance trust in geospatial outputs.
- Provide clear English explanations of map findings to technical and non technical stakeholders enabling informed decisions on location based services logistics and market analysis.
- Configure and optimize geographic information tools to support tasks such as proximity analysis network analysis and thematic mapping tailored to high technology use cases.
- Coordinate with data governance and security teams to ensure that spatial data handling respects privacy expectations and complies with internal control policies.
- Support day to day operations by resolving mapping issues addressing data anomalies and implementing incremental map improvements that keep products aligned with current reality.
- Contribute to innovation initiatives by exploring new geospatial methods such as advanced symbolization or automated generalization to enhance user experience and societal value.
- Mentor peers on best practices in geographic information science and cartography through walkthroughs example projects and constructive feedback on map design and analysis.
- Engage with business stakeholders in clear spoken English to gather requirements clarify assumptions and negotiate realistic mapping delivery timelines.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate strong experience with geographic information principles including spatial data models coordinate systems geocoding and spatial analysis relevant to high technology solutions.
- Apply advanced cartographic concepts such as scale selection generalization color theory and typography to produce maps that are both informative and visually consistent.
- Communicate confidently and fluently in spoken and written English to collaborate with diverse teams document workflows and present mapping outcomes to stakeholders.
- Bring domain exposure in high technology environments such as digital platforms connected devices or data driven services where location intelligence plays a significant role.
- Utilize analytical thinking and problem solving skills to diagnose mapping issues optimize spatial queries and refine cartographic representations based on user feedback.
- Work effectively in a hybrid model by coordinating tasks across on site and remote settings while maintaining consistent quality timely delivery and clear communication.
