About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager to drive end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives. This role combines project management, Agile delivery, and deep requirements engineering with hands-on exposure to system design, production workflows, and infrastructure (including Hardware Security Modules). You will play a critical role in bridging business needs with scalable technical solutions while improving system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
In this role, you will:
· Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, translating complex business requirements into scalable software design specifications
· Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets using MS Project, Jira, and related tools
· Facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and manage product backlogs to ensure continuous delivery
· Convert high-level stakeholder needs into actionable user stories, workflows, and technical tasks
· Create and maintain system design documentation, including workflow diagrams, interface contracts, and technical specifications
· Evaluate and refine requirements through iterative feedback cycles to improve system performance, usability, and maintainability
· Track project milestones, KPIs, and risks, implementing mitigation strategies and reporting progress to leadership
· Coordinate cross-functional teams (product, engineering, analytics) to validate requirements and ensure alignment with functional and non-functional expectations
· Engineer and optimize production or manufacturing workflows, improving system throughput, stability, and reliability
· Analyze production data and metrics such as First Pass Yield (FPY) to identify systemic issues and drive efficiency improvements
· Perform structured root-cause analysis on hardware/software failures and deliver detailed technical reports to support corrective actions
· Develop automation solutions to reduce cycle times, improve accuracy, and increase operational efficiency
· Maintain project documentation, SOPs, workflow diagrams, and status reports in Confluence or SharePoint
· Support onboarding of teams to Agile tools, processes, and best practices
· Monitor project budgets and escalate variances to program leadership

What you need to have to be considered
· Strong experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, and translation into technical design artifacts and user stories
· Proven expertise in Agile methodologies with hands-on experience managing iterative delivery and feedback cycles
· Proficiency with project and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft Project
· Experience developing technical documentation, including system design diagrams, SOPs, workflows, and interface specifications
· Demonstrated ability to partner with product, engineering, and analytics teams to deliver aligned, scalable solutions
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis and risk mitigation
· Experience working with production systems, operational workflows, or hardware/software environments
· Excellent stakeholder communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technical teams
This will help you stand out
· Experience working with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), including configuration, administration, and troubleshooting using Linux, SSH, or LunaCM
· Background in optimizing manufacturing or production workflows and improving system performance and reliability
· Proven track record of implementing automation improvements that reduce cycle time and error rates
· Experience analyzing operational metrics (e.g., FPY) and driving measurable efficiency gains
· Familiarity with firmware/software upgrades, licensing integration, or secure system environments
· Strong focus on continuous improvement, process redesign, and data-driven decision-making
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 to $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
