About the role
As a Sr. iOS Developer, you will make an impact by designing and delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance mobile applications that support critical business functionality. You will be a valued member of the mobile engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, backend engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to build and enhance enterprise-grade iOS applications.

In this role, you will:
- Design and develop high-performance, secure, and scalable iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs and implementation strategies
- Collaborate with architects and technical teams to provide guidance and conduct code reviews
- Integrate mobile applications with backend services, APIs, and databases
- Develop and execute unit tests and support application deployment, release processes, and post-production maintenance

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Plano, TX. What you need to have to be considered
- 9+ years of experience in iOS/mobile application development
- Strong experience in designing and developing applications using Swift / SwiftUI (experience with Xamarin acceptable)
- Deep understanding of mobile architecture patterns including MVC, MVVM, MVP and memory management
- Experience handling data management, including offline storage (SQLite, Couchbase Lite)
- Proficiency with Xcode, Git, and integration with RESTful APIs
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build and release processes, and Agile development methodologies
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership
- Working knowledge of AI tools for coding, analysis, or development
These will help you stand out
- Experience with React Native or cross-platform mobile frameworks
- Exposure to DevOps practices and automated deployment pipelines
- Strong problem-solving skills with focus on performance and scalability
- Experience in enterprise-scale application development
- Ability to mentor junior developers and contribute to technical strategy
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position depends on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
