Job Summary
The Technical Lead will design implement and optimize virtual desktop infrastructure solutions using Azure Virtual Desktop Citrix VAD and Citrix Cloud in a hybrid work model. The role involves guiding end to end delivery of secure scalable and reliable VDI services ensuring high performance and availability for business users across rotational shifts. The individual will collaborate with cross functional teams to enhance employee productivity and enable sustainable digital workplaces.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of Azure Virtual Desktop environments to deliver secure and scalable virtual workspaces for business applications and daily user operations.Coordinate configuration of Citrix VAD components including resource provisioning and access controls to achieve consistent performance and availability for enterprise workloads.Oversee deployment and optimization of Citrix Cloud based services to standardize VDI management practices and streamline administration for hybrid workplace requirements.Provide advanced troubleshooting for Azure Virtual Desktop sessions and host pools to minimize downtime and promptly resolve complex incidents impacting user productivity.Analyze performance metrics across Citrix VAD and Citrix Cloud platforms to identify capacity issues and execute tuning actions that improve responsiveness and resource utilization.Implement security baselines and compliance controls within VDI solutions to protect data integrity and ensure adherence to organizational governance policies.Collaborate with application owners and infrastructure teams to plan image management patch cycles and upgrades that keep virtual desktops current without disrupting operations.Guide incident and problem management processes for VDI services by documenting root causes and driving preventive measures that reduce recurring issues.Coordinate change management activities for configuration updates and new feature rollouts in Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix environments to maintain stable production services.Provide technical guidance to support teams by creating knowledge artifacts and runbooks that enhance first time resolution rates for VDI related requests.Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into practical VDI solutions that support hybrid work models and rotational shift coverage.Drive automation initiatives around provisioning monitoring and reporting for VDI platforms to reduce manual effort and improve operational consistency.Monitor user experience indicators such as login times session stability and application launch performance to ensure high satisfaction with virtual workspace solutions.
Qualifications
Demonstrate solid hands on experience in Azure Virtual Desktop design configuration and administration gained over four to six years in VDI focused roles.Apply deep working knowledge of Citrix VAD including delivery groups policies and profiles to build resilient virtual desktop environments for diverse business needs.Utilize practical expertise in Citrix Cloud services to manage hybrid deployments and centralize control of VDI resources across data center and cloud locations.Exhibit strong proficiency in Windows operating systems networking fundamentals and identity management concepts essential for stable and secure VDI infrastructures.Show capability in using monitoring tools and log analysis techniques to diagnose performance issues and optimize session reliability across VDI platforms.Bring experience working in hybrid work setups and rotational shift patterns ensuring consistent support coverage for global user communities.
Certifications Required
Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty or Citrix Certified Associate Virtualization or equivalent VDI certification.
