Senior Scrum Master – Agile Delivery
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support Agile delivery for Cognizant’s client engagement. The ideal candidate will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, coach teams and stakeholders on Agile principles, remove impediments, and help drive continuous improvement across delivery teams.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives across one or more teams.
· Coach teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile/Scrum principles, values, and best practices.
· Act as a servant-leader by removing impediments that block team progress.
· Track and communicate team velocity, sprint burndown, and other Agile delivery metrics.
· Manage dependencies across multiple teams or Scrum-of-Scrums structures.
· Support release planning and roadmap alignment with Product Owners.
· Promote a continuous improvement mindset and help drive Agile transformation initiatives.
· Foster collaboration, resolve conflicts, and support team morale, engagement, and cross-functional development.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
· 7–10+ years of overall professional experience, including 5+ years in Scrum Master or Agile Coach roles.
· Experience working with multiple teams simultaneously or within scaled Agile environments such as SAFe, LeSS, or Scrum of Scrums.
· Proven track record of coaching teams through Agile maturity growth.
· Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and technical delivery projects.
· Deep knowledge of Agile frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS, and XP.
· Strong facilitation, coaching, communication, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills.
· Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Rally, or Trello.
Preferred Qualifications:
· CSM, CSP, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist, or PMI-ACP certification.
· Experience supporting Agile transformation initiatives at the department or enterprise level.
· Understanding of technical concepts such as CI/CD and DevOps practices.
· Change management and organizational development experience for senior-level roles.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $81K – $141K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
