About the role
As a Senior Manager Consulting, Supply Chain Planning, you will make an impact by leading client-facing supply chain planning transformation engagements across demand planning, supply planning, production planning, and material requirements planning. You will be a valued member of the Supply Chain Management Consulting team and work collaboratively with regional teams, platform leaders, industry leaders, client partners, business development teams, and clients to shape high-value planning solutions and transformation roadmaps.
In this role, you will:
- Lead strategic consulting engagements across supply chain planning, including demand planning, supply planning, production planning, material requirements planning, sourcing and procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and fulfillment.
- Assess client planning processes and design future-state solutions for demand forecasting, passenger-based forecasts, food catering consumption history, menu-cycle-driven planning, and planning horizons ranging from 1 to 12 months.
- Define and improve material requirements planning processes, including forecast-linked planning logic, auto-draft order generation, work-order generation, production scheduling, and alignment across demand, supply, and execution teams.
- Translate planning business requirements into functional solution requirements, implementation-ready process designs, governance models, decision cadences, exception-handling approaches, and transformation roadmaps.
- Partner with client partners, business development teams, regional stakeholders, platform leads, and industry leads to identify new business opportunities, create high-impact proposals, and strengthen Cognizant’s supply chain consulting offerings.
- Drive thought leadership for supply chain planning through points of view, white papers, webinars, analyst engagement, market research, and insights that support client conversations and solution development.
- Consistently demonstrate the Cognizant Way to Lead, operating with Personal Leadership, Organizational Leadership, and Business Leadership to build trust, collaborate inclusively, create purpose, manage ambiguity, and deliver client-focused outcomes.
Work model
Hybrid Role – New Jersey / United States

What you must have to be considered
- 12+ years of work experience in consulting, advisory, transformation, or client-facing supply chain roles.
- Deep supply chain planning experience across demand planning, supply planning, production planning, material requirements planning, and related planning processes.
- Experience leading consulting assessments, solution design, business analysis, process consulting, and transformation roadmap development for global clients.
- Working experience with supply chain planning platforms such as SAP IBP, Kinaxis, OMP, Blue Yonder, Oracle ASCP, o9, or similar planning technologies.
- Ability to operate independently and collaboratively in ambiguous client environments while demonstrating ownership, positive mindset, and strong stakeholder management.

These will help you succeed
- Experience in planning-intensive industries such as food, catering, aviation services, consumer goods, manufacturing, or related sectors.
- Knowledge of demand forecasting, material requirements planning, production planning, supply planning, and planning master data concepts.
- Previous experience with a top-tier management consulting firm.
- Experience developing thought leadership, including points of view, white papers, webinars, and market or benchmarking insights related to supply chain planning.
- Proven ability to mentor consulting associates, support people development, and help build a strong consulting talent pipeline.

Compensation
The annual salary for this position is expected to be between $105,000 and $160,000, depending on experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
