About the Role
Are you passionate about enterprise storage, backup, and recovery technologies? We are looking for an experienced Storage & Data Protection specialist to join our growing team in Amsterdam.
In this critical role, you will manage, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise storage environments while ensuring maximum availability, performance, and data protection. You will work with industry-leading storage and backup technologies, helping to safeguard business-critical data and maintain operational excellence across the infrastructure landscape.
As a trusted technical expert, you will play a key role in strengthening backup and recovery capabilities, validating restore readiness, and driving continuous improvement within the storage ecosystem.

In This Role, You Will
Troubleshoot platform, latency, and connectivity issues across enterprise storage environments.
Diagnose and resolve storage protocol and data access issues across file and object storage platforms.
Investigate, triage, and resolve backup job failures.
Lead recovery activities by determining and executing the most effective recovery strategy, including snapshot and full restores.
Maintain, enhance, and regularly validate restore readiness procedures and checklists.
Execute restore validation testing and accurately document results and recommendations.
Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, resilience, and reliability of storage and backup platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to support incident management, root-cause analysis, and service improvement initiatives.
What You Need to Have to Be Considered
Hands-on expertise with enterprise storage platform administration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Strong experience with enterprise storage replication and data services.
Proven proficiency with enterprise backup platforms, including policy management, job monitoring, troubleshooting, and restore workflows.
Solid understanding of storage networking technologies and protocols.
Experience with snapshot lifecycle management, including creation, scheduling, retention, and restoration.
Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting enterprise-scale storage and data protection environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in hybrid and geographically distributed teams.
