We are seeking a Senior UAT Test Analyst to lead and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for our Commercial Banking (Leasing) programs. In this role, you will act as the crucial bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, development teams, and QA groups. You will take charge of the entire UAT lifecycle—from strategy and test scenario generation to execution, defect governance, and final sign-off—ensuring that our commercial leasing platforms meet business requirements and deliver exceptional quality before production release.
In this role, you will
- Lead and manage all User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities across complex commercial banking and leasing programs.
- Collaborate closely with lines of business, product owners, development teams, and QA teams to align testing objectives with business needs.
- Drive hands-on creation and execution of UAT plans, test scenarios, and test cases tailored to commercial banking and leasing workflows.
- Participate in day-to-day UAT activities and effectively coordinate onshore-offshore testing teams to ensure seamless test execution.
- Identify, track, and manage defects through to resolution using enterprise tracking tools.
- Perform regression test execution to validate system stability after fixes and updates.
- Prepare and distribute comprehensive Daily and Weekly status reports to keep stakeholders informed of progress and risks.
- Prepare the official UAT exit report, conduct test result walkthroughs with leadership, and secure formal approval and sign-offs.

What you need to have to be considered:
- 6+ years of professional software testing experience, with a strong focus on UAT management and coordination.
- Proven expertise in hands-on UAT planning, end-to-end test scenario generation, test case execution, and exit reporting.
- Must have recent banking domain experience.
- Strong experience leading onshore-offshore teams, driving defect triage, and managing issues to closure.
- Hands-on experience working with JIRA and ALM for test management and defect tracking.
- Skilled in regression execution and producing clear daily/weekly status updates and executive sign-off presentations.
These will help you stand out
- Deep industry knowledge in Commercial Banking, specifically focusing on Leasing portfolios and workflows.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks and practices to streamline regression cycles.
- Familiarity with agentic and prompt engineering frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGPT, ReAct) or emerging AI testing platforms.

Total compensation:
We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD 55,000 - 73,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
