About the role
As a Healthcare Payer Product Consultant Lead, you will make an impact by driving the discovery, design, and optimization of healthcare payer solutions built on Facets, .NET, and Microsoft Azure. You will serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders, leading complex product initiatives that enhance member, provider, claims, enrollment, and billing operations.
Working in a remote day-shift environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and business-driven solutions while supporting large-scale payer transformation programs.
In this role, you will:
Lead discovery sessions and analyze complex payer business processes to translate stakeholder needs into actionable product requirements.
Design and optimize Facets-based payer solutions, including configuration, integrations, data models, and business workflows.
Manage end-to-end product lifecycle activities, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, release readiness, and post-production support.
Collaborate with architects, developers, business analysts, and quality engineering teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
Drive impact assessments and solution design related to benefit plans, provider contracts, enrollment, eligibility, claims, and billing processes.
Design and oversee integrations between Facets and .NET/Azure services to ensure seamless data exchange and operational efficiency.
Define and validate functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
Facilitate workshops, stakeholder reviews, and solution walkthroughs to gather feedback and drive consensus.
Mentor team members on healthcare payer operations, Facets capabilities, and best practices for .NET and Azure solution delivery.
Investigate and resolve complex production issues, recommending enhancements that improve platform stability and business outcomes.
Support deployment planning, release management, and post-implementation monitoring activities.
Promote continuous improvement through reusable solution patterns, documentation, and AI-enabled delivery practices.

What you need to have to be considered
10+ years of experience delivering technology solutions within healthcare payer organizations.
Strong expertise in Facets, including Membership, Enrollment, Benefits, Provider Management, Claims, and Configuration.
Hands-on experience designing and supporting applications built with .NET technologies, services, and APIs.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including cloud architecture, integration services, compute, and storage solutions.
Deep understanding of healthcare payer operations, including benefit plans, provider networks, eligibility, enrollment, authorizations, and claims adjudication.
Experience leading product discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, and implementation initiatives.
Proven ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams in agile delivery environments.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
Experience with system integrations, data modeling, API design, and enterprise application architecture.
Ability to manage competing priorities, drive delivery, and navigate complex cross-functional dependencies.
Preferred qualifications
Experience supporting healthcare payer modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and Azure-based integration patterns.
Experience working with AI-enabled software engineering and product delivery practices.
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to healthcare payer organizations.
Experience leading distributed or global delivery teams.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $99K - $114K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
