About the role
The Sr. Business Analyst: Clause and Template Harmonization will serve as a specialized CLM Legal Operations Business Analyst responsible for rationalizing, documenting, and translating clause, template, fallback, and playbook requirements into Sirion-aligned implementation requirements. This role requires Sirion experience and strong understanding of clause library governance, template consolidation, contract standards, legal operations requirements, and buy-side contracting processes. Paralegal experience is a plus.
In this role, you will:
· Lead clause library rationalization, clause taxonomy design, fallback position analysis, playbook alignment, and template consolidation activities.
· Facilitate working sessions with Legal, Procurement, Sourcing, Supplier Management, Compliance, and business stakeholders to capture clause and template requirements.
· Translate clause, fallback, playbook, and template requirements into Sirion-aligned functional requirements, metadata needs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
· Partner with Sirion Techno-Functional Consultants to support Clause Library setup, Template Assembly logic, fallback language configuration, and clause metadata alignment.
· Support standardization of contract templates, clause usage, contract types, approval triggers, regional variations, and business-unit-specific contracting needs.
· Develop clause and template inventory outputs, gap assessments, harmonization recommendations, backlog items, and traceability documentation.
· Support testing and validation of template generation, clause selection, fallback language, playbook logic, and document output behavior in Sirion.

What you need to have to be considered
· 8+ years of CLM, Legal Operations, contract management, or contract transformation experience with direct Sirion experience.
· Experience with clause library rationalization, clause taxonomy design, fallback position governance, playbook alignment, template consolidation, and contract standards.
· Experience translating legal and business contracting requirements into Sirion-aligned requirements, metadata needs, template logic, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
· Experience supporting buy-side contracting, Procurement, Sourcing, Supplier Management, Legal Operations, and contract governance processes.
· Experience facilitating workshops with Legal, Procurement, Compliance, business stakeholders, and platform configuration teams.
These will help you stand out
· Paralegal experience.
· Sirion practitioner certification preferred.
· Icertis or other enterprise CLM platform experience.
· Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, or Medical Device industry experience.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $130,000 -$150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
