About the role
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will make an impact by ensuring the stability, security, and performance of enterprise network infrastructure supporting over 300 remote sites and multiple data center environments. You will design, maintain, and optimize critical network services while collaborating with infrastructure, application, and security teams to support business operations and strategic technology initiatives. You will be a valued member of the Cloud Infrastructure and Security team, helping drive operational excellence, network reliability, and continuous improvement across the enterprise.
In this role, you will
- Install, configure, maintain, and secure enterprise network infrastructure and networking devices.
- Ensure maximum availability and performance of network services supporting users and business-critical applications.
- Manage network resources and connectivity solutions that support evolving business requirements across remote locations and data centers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues through detailed analysis, root cause identification, and corrective actions.
- Partner with infrastructure, application, and security teams to support disaster recovery strategies, network resiliency, and service continuity.
- Drive operational excellence by ensuring network systems remain reliable, accessible, secure, and compliant with established SLAs and OLAs.
- Support enterprise technology alignment initiatives and identify opportunities to modernize network services and operations.
- Evaluate and implement continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and service quality.
- Support communications related to system upgrades, infrastructure enhancements, and business process improvements.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across business and technology teams.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers to ensure successful delivery of networking solutions and services.
- Support governance, compliance, and security policy implementation across network environments.
- Maintain compliance with all required training, audits, corporate policies, and security standards.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, operational procedures, and support playbooks.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

What you need to have to be considered
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, administration, and support of enterprise networking environments.
- Expert-level knowledge of network infrastructure technologies, routing, switching, wireless networking, and security.
- Hands-on experience with Meraki MX platforms, Aruba Wireless Access Points, Aruba Central, Aruba ClearPass, and Cisco Catalyst switching environments.
- Strong experience supporting core network services including DHCP, DNS, IPSec VPNs, BGP routing, and WAN connectivity.
- Experience performing network upgrades, firmware updates, lifecycle management, and platform patching activities.
- Hands-on experience using network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as SolarWinds NPM/NCM and packet capture analysis (PCAP).
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Jira, and ServiceNow.
- Strong customer service mindset with a focus on delivering reliable and business-aligned technology solutions.
- Experience managing multiple projects, priorities, and deliverables simultaneously.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management capabilities.

- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, Aruba, Meraki, or equivalent networking certifications.

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until September 23, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 - $115,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
