Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master with strong expertise in Agile delivery, Quality Assurance, Data Analytics, and cross-functional team leadership. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading Agile teams, driving quality engineering practices, managing data validation initiatives, and partnering with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality enterprise solutions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies, managing product backlogs, improving delivery metrics, ensuring data quality, and driving continuous improvement across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities
Agile & Scrum Leadership
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement sessions.
- Coach teams on Agile, Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban methodologies.
- Partner with Product Owners to prioritize and manage product backlogs.
- Track and improve Agile metrics including velocity, burndown, cycle time, and sprint predictability.
- Identify and remove impediments impacting team delivery.
Delivery Management
- Lead cross-functional teams consisting of Product Owners, Developers, QA Engineers, Data Engineers, and Business Analysts.
- Drive release planning, dependency management, and risk mitigation activities.
- Provide executive-level reporting on delivery progress, quality metrics, and project risks.
- Support PI Planning and Agile transformation initiatives.
Quality Assurance & Test Leadership
- Define and implement QA strategies, governance frameworks, and testing best practices.
- Coordinate test planning, defect management, and quality gate reviews.
- Lead test automation initiatives using Selenium, Cucumber, and API testing tools.
- Ensure integration of QA processes within CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive shift-left testing and continuous quality improvement practices.
Data Quality & Analytics Leadership
- Collaborate with Data Engineering teams on ETL testing and data validation initiatives.
- Define and monitor data quality KPIs including completeness, accuracy, consistency, and latency.
- Validate data pipelines, data warehouse solutions, and analytical reporting platforms.
- Support SQL-based data verification and root-cause analysis of data quality issues.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure business intelligence reporting accuracy.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary liaison between business, product, QA, and technology teams.
- Communicate project status, risks, milestones, and quality metrics to leadership.
- Facilitate alignment between business objectives and technology delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 12+ years of experience in IT delivery, Agile project management, QA, or Data Analytics.
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master leading Agile teams.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, and Agile delivery frameworks.
- Experience managing QA programs and software testing initiatives.
- Experience with ETL testing, data validation, and data warehouse projects.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or DB2.
- Experience working with Jira, Rally, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile tools.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
- SAFe Scrum Master or SAFe Agilist certification.
- ISTQB Certification.
- AWS or Azure Cloud Certifications.
- Experience in Insurance, Healthcare, Financial Services, or Energy & Utilities domains.
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Platforms.
