Software Engineer (.NET Core)

Job Summary

Contribute as a software engineer with four to six years of experience building secure and scalable applications using modern net technologies for provider domain solutions in a hybrid work model. Design and implement robust services and web interfaces using asp net core and related frameworks to support critical provider workflows and data integrity for enterprise clients in a day shift environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high quality provider domain applications using asp net core mvc and c sharp net that deliver reliable business functionality for enterprise stakeholders and operational teams
• Implement efficient data access layers with entity framework and ado net that ensure consistent data integrity for provider records and transactional workflows across complex systems
• Create secure and well structured asp net core web api services that enable seamless integration between internal platforms and external partner systems supporting provider information exchanges
• Optimize sql queries and database structures to improve performance scalability and responsiveness of provider data operations while maintaining strong reliability in production environments
• Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to translate provider domain requirements into clear technical designs that align with organizational goals and deliver measurable outcomes
• Review existing net core solutions and refactor components to enhance maintainability testability and adherence to coding standards while minimizing technical debt across projects
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to uphold best practices in net programming c sharp net and ensure consistent quality across the engineering team
• Develop and maintain unit tests and integration tests for asp net applications and services to support continuous integration pipelines and reduce regression risks during frequent releases
• Work closely with quality assurance teams to analyze defects resolve root causes and improve application stability for provider workflows and user experiences in hybrid work arrangements
• Document technical designs api contracts and deployment procedures in a clear and structured manner to support ongoing maintenance knowledge sharing and onboarding within the organization
• Coordinate with infrastructure and devops teams to support deployment configuration and monitoring of net core applications ensuring reliable operations within day shift coverage windows
• Investigate and resolve production incidents related to provider applications by performing structured analysis implementing fixes and communicating outcomes to relevant stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by proposing enhancements to architecture tools and development processes that strengthen provider solutions and create positive impact for clients and society

Qualifications

• Possess four to six years of hands on experience in designing and building applications using asp net core asp net mvc and c sharp net with a strong focus on robustness and scalability
• Demonstrate solid proficiency in entity framework and ado net for managing complex data models and transactional operations particularly in provider related business scenarios
• Show strong skills in implementing and consuming asp net core web api services including authentication validation and error handling suited for enterprise grade integrations
• Exhibit practical experience in writing and optimizing sql queries as well as understanding relational database design to support efficient provider data management
• Bring applied knowledge of net core application architecture including modular design dependency injection and configuration management in hybrid working environments
• Apply sound understanding of provider domain concepts such as provider data management eligibility and enrollment to design solutions that meet regulatory and business expectations
• Utilize good problem solving capabilities and debugging techniques to analyze issues across application layers and deliver timely resolutions that preserve user trust and system stability
• Display familiarity with agile development practices including iterative delivery backlog refinement and collaboration with cross functional teams to meet project commitments
• Maintain clear and concise technical documentation and communication skills that support teamwork transparency and effective coordination in a hybrid work model

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $46K – $75K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
