Cyber Security Architect

Job Summary

This Cyber Security Architect role focuses on designing implementing and optimizing secure network access solutions with strong emphasis on proxy operation secure remote access and cloud based security platforms. The architect will work in a hybrid model with rotational shifts ensuring resilient protection of enterprise users data and applications across global environments advancing the organization security posture and contributing to safer digital experiences for society.

Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive secure access architectures that integrate proxy operation Zscaler Private Access Palo Alto Prisma Cisco Umbrella reverse proxy tools and Cisco VPN to protect enterprise users and data across hybrid environments
• Implement robust security policies and configuration standards for web proxy platforms and reverse proxy tools that ensure consistent control of internet traffic and safeguard critical applications
• Configure and optimize Zscaler Private Access deployments to deliver secure remote connectivity to internal applications while maintaining high performance and reliability for distributed teams
• Deploy and maintain Palo Alto Prisma based security controls that provide advanced threat prevention and data protection across cloud services and remote endpoints
• Administer Cisco Umbrella solutions to strengthen domain based filtering block malicious destinations and enhance protection against phishing and command and control activity
• Manage Cisco VPN infrastructures to ensure secure scalable and resilient remote connectivity experiences for employees working in hybrid and rotational shift arrangements
• Perform regular security posture assessments across proxy VPN and cloud security platforms to identify gaps recommend improvements and align configurations with organizational risk tolerance
• Collaborate with network and infrastructure teams to integrate security controls into existing architectures in a way that supports business operations and minimizes disruption for end users
• Develop and maintain detailed architecture diagrams configuration baselines and technical documentation that support consistent operations and future scaling of cybersecurity solutions
• Conduct incident analysis and problem resolution for security events related to proxy operation secure remote access and cloud edge security ensuring rapid containment and remediation
• Drive continuous tuning of access policies authentication flows and content filtering rules to improve user experience while maintaining strong protection and regulatory compliance
• Coordinate with compliance and risk stakeholders to ensure that security architectures meet internal standards and external obligations supporting trust from customers and partners
• Support knowledge transfer and technical guidance for operational teams working in rotational shifts so that security platforms remain well managed and resilient at all times

Qualifications

• Demonstrate strong experience in proxy operation and reverse proxy tools by configuring policies authentication methods and traffic inspection that align with modern enterprise security needs
• Apply hands on expertise with Zscaler Private Access to design secure application access patterns optimize user connectivity and troubleshoot complex remote access scenarios
• Utilize solid knowledge of Palo Alto Prisma to implement cloud delivered security services enrich threat protection and safeguard data across web and cloud application usage
• Show practical proficiency with Cisco Umbrella by defining and managing DNS layer security strategies that reduce exposure to malicious destinations and enhance threat visibility
• Exhibit deep understanding of Cisco VPN technologies to establish secure tunnels handle certificate and credential management and support hybrid work connectivity requirements
• Combine at least five to eight years of cybersecurity architecture or engineering experience to evaluate solutions critically balance security and usability and advise stakeholders effectively
• Employ strong analytical and problem solving abilities to investigate security issues interpret complex logs and recommend targeted improvements that strengthen the overall security posture
• Communicate clearly with technical and nontechnical partners to explain design decisions security risks and remediation plans in a concise and accessible manner
• Adapt effectively to rotational shift patterns in a hybrid work environment by organizing responsibilities carefully and maintaining consistent operational focus on security controls
• Maintain awareness of emerging threats modern secure access approaches and industry practices so that security architectures contribute positively to wider societal trust in digital services
• Work collaboratively with cross functional technology teams to ensure that security solutions support business outcomes enable safe digital innovation and protect community interests

Certifications Required

Preferred certifications include CISSP CCSP or vendor credentials for Zscaler Palo Alto and Cisco security platforms
