About the role
As a Consulting Manager, Healthcare you will make an impact by leading Agile delivery for complex healthcare payer platform implementation and modernization programs. You will be a valued member of the Healthcare Consulting team and work collaboratively with product owners, business analysts, architects, engineering teams, testing teams, vendors, and client stakeholders.
You will provide delivery leadership across multiple workstreams, remove impediments, manage risks and dependencies, and help teams deliver high-quality business and technology solutions aligned with client objectives.
In this role, you will:
- Lead Agile delivery for healthcare payer platform implementation, migration, enhancement, and modernization initiatives, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Coordinate execution across business analysis, configuration, development, testing, data conversion, integration, release management, and other cross-functional workstreams.
- Partner with product owners and business stakeholders to maintain a prioritized, delivery-ready backlog with clearly defined user stories, acceptance criteria, milestones, and dependencies.
- Improve delivery predictability through Jira governance, sprint and velocity analysis, dependency management, risk mitigation, and transparent reporting of progress and outcomes.
- Collaborate with program leadership, client stakeholders, and delivery partners to resolve impediments and align teams on scope, priorities, release objectives, environment readiness, quality standards, and implementation plans.

What you must have to be considered
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Delivery Lead, Agile Program Lead, or Consulting Manager on complex healthcare payer transformation or platform implementation programs.
- Strong experience leading Agile delivery using Scrum or SAFe, including backlog management, sprint planning, release planning, delivery metrics, and Jira administration.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple teams, workstreams, vendors, and stakeholders within a large-scale technology implementation or modernization program.
- Strong understanding of the software delivery lifecycle, including requirements management, configuration or development, testing, deployment, release management, and production readiness.
- Exceptional facilitation, communication, stakeholder management, risk management, conflict resolution, and influencing skills across business, technology, vendor, and client teams.
These will help you succeed
- Healthcare payer industry knowledge across claims, enrollment, benefits, provider administration, membership, or customer service operations.
- Hands-on experience supporting Facets implementation, migration, upgrade, enhancement, or modernization initiatives.
- Familiarity with healthcare EDI transactions, claims processing, enrollment workflows, APIs, integrations, and data conversion activities.
- Experience supporting large-scale healthcare transformation programs involving multiple vendors and delivery partners.
- SAFe Scrum Master, Certified ScrumMaster, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner, Project Management Professional, or a comparable Agile or project management certification, along with experience using Confluence, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, or Agile reporting tools.

Compensation
$110,000-$129,500
This position is eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans. The US template requires the applicable salary range where legally mandated.
