Principal Architect

Job Summary

Principal Architect role in a hybrid work model focusing on complex digital experience platforms using Drupal SiteCore Node JS and React Js to design scalable enterprise solutions for a global organization. The role involves driving architectural decisions ensuring technical excellence and enabling long term product innovation that advances research and development outcomes and creates sustainable value for customers and society.

Responsibilities

• Define end to end application architecture for large scale digital experience platforms built on Drupal SiteCore Node JS and React Js to ensure robustness scalability security and high maintainability across enterprise environments.
• Drive architectural blueprints and reference implementations that guide engineers in building reusable components and services while aligning solutions with organizational standards compliance requirements and future technology evolution.
• Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to translate complex research and development objectives into clear architectural roadmaps solution options and implementation strategies that maximize business impact.
• Evaluate technology choices across content management front end frameworks integration patterns and cloud native capabilities to recommend optimal combinations that balance performance cost flexibility and operational resilience.
• Oversee solution design reviews code structure validation and integration patterns to enforce best practices related to modularity configuration management observability and efficient API consumption.
• Provide technical mentorship to engineering teams by explaining architectural decisions reviewing critical design artifacts and enabling teams to independently deliver high quality solutions aligned with long term platform vision.
• Coordinate with security and infrastructure experts to embed identity management data protection performance tuning and disaster recovery considerations into solution architectures for hybrid working models.
• Guide implementation of automated testing strategies deployment pipelines and monitoring approaches that improve release reliability shorten feedback cycles and support continuous improvement across Drupal SiteCore Node JS and React Js ecosystems.
• Engage with research and development groups to assess emerging technologies frameworks and design patterns and integrate promising innovations into the broader architecture landscape for sustainable competitive advantage.
• Document architecture decisions patterns non functional requirements and integration contracts in a clear and accessible manner enabling cross functional teams to understand dependencies and make informed design tradeoffs.
• Align architectural solutions with organizational sustainability and accessibility goals by promoting energy efficient designs inclusive user experiences and responsible data usage that positively influence society.
• Partner with operations teams to refine incident response procedures capacity planning models and observability dashboards ensuring platforms remain reliable under varying workloads and evolving customer demands.
• Support ongoing optimization initiatives by analyzing system metrics user behavior and technical debt drivers and by proposing practical architectural improvements that enhance maintainability and reduce long term costs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate extensive experience in architecting enterprise grade solutions using Drupal and SiteCore including complex content models integrations and configuration strategies across hybrid environments.
• Apply deep proficiency in Node JS and React Js development to shape scalable front end and back end architectures with strong focus on performance optimization modular design and responsive user interfaces.
• Bring proven exposure to research and development contexts where innovative solution design experimentation and data driven decision making contributed to tangible product or platform advancements.
• Show strong capability in designing secure and compliant systems including authentication authorization data protection and auditability while aligning with industry standards and organizational governance practices.
• Exhibit advanced skills in API design microservices patterns and integration approaches enabling seamless connectivity with third party systems internal platforms and cloud services.
• Utilize experience with modern DevOps practices containerization automated testing and continuous integration and delivery pipelines to support reliable deployments and efficient operations.
