Business Development Manager (Client Relationship Manager) – Banking, Financial Service & Insurance
Overview
Client Relationship Managers (CRMs) are key contributors to the growth of Cognizant’s business. They support the Client Partner and act as business owners for assigned accounts, managing the day-to-day activities and P&L of these accounts. They proactively identify new opportunities on accounts and plan for and close the extension of existing agreements. The CRM works with delivery teams to maximize backlog, optimizing the resource mix and navigating scope changes to ensure client expectations are met. They work towards establishing a positive client experience through delivery excellence. This role is a high visibility and challenging opportunity and requires high amount of commitment, business acumen, leadership qualities and motivated attitude to perform well.
We are looking for a strong business development person to work with assigned clients and drive their digital agenda. To achieve this, the Client Relationship Manager will need to engage with internal groups responsible for various capabilities and offerings and bring the best of Cognizant to clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Create and manage a pipeline of new and expansion opportunities across assigned accounts.
• Develop impactful and trusted consultative relationships with targeted executives.
• Managing day-to-day activities with the client
• Bring domain knowledge within banking, insurance and life & pension to understand the client’s business and work with the Service Line Specialists to design differentiated solutions to deliver business outcomes.
• Collaborate with the various internal teams to provide thought leadership with key client stakeholders on a regular basis.
• Be a customer advocate to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction across the customer journey. Listen to the customer and work with colleagues across the business to solve problems and build client trust.
• Be responsible for expansions, renewals and rate/role revisions to achieve assigned revenue goals
• Drive RFP responses & proactive proposals to deliver high win rates
• Understand the client environment, issues and priorities
• Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for the clients
• Define and improve the go-to-market plans offerings and value propositions
• Build strong internal relationships with Cognizant’s vertical Business Units Heads, off/nearshore delivery, Service Line Specialist, and other key team members
Required Qualifications
• Positive, extrovert, energetic, emphatic, holistic thinking and analytic personality
• Solid domain knowledge in the banking, insurance and/or life & pension industry incl products, processes and technologies, from Nordic/Danish exposure
• Experience in consultative selling from client facing roles in the Consulting, Services or Software industry. Alternatively, business development experience from a leading company in the banking, insurance or life & pension industry in the Nordics.
• Experience in connecting global multi-disciplinary teams, partners, and alliances across the customer lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of the possibilities AI brings, both to your and your customer’s efficiency.
• High level understanding of a broad range of technologies; keeps up to date with market and technology trends
• English language fluency, native Danish language preferred.
