As the importance of addressing greenhouse gas emissions grows, we’re increasingly reporting emissions and our efforts to reduce them, including developing how we monitor and report our greenhouse gas emissions.
We’re setting public, time‑bound greenhouse gas reduction goals and are committed to reaching Net Zero emissions by 2050 by purchasing renewable energy, reducing absolute greenhouse gas in our operations and more.
With offices around the world, including water‑stressed regions, we source water consciously and implement effective solutions to reduce water consumption.

Cognizant ranks #7 on Fortune’s Change the World list - a recognition of companies that find innovative ways to solve social and environmental problems. Our Synapse initiative of bringing tech training to one million people worldwide by 2026 underscores our commitment to making our world a more inclusive place.
Social responsibility
Our Outreach program mobilizes our associates’ expertise and enthusiasm through volunteer work. We focus on supporting inclusion in tech and accelerating community development. In 2023, more than 50,000 associates have volunteered 160,000+ hours!
