Job Summary
Serve as a Functional Architect specializing in intelligent planning solutions that blend Generative AI NLP and SAP integrated business planning capabilities. Design and optimize end to end planning processes using SAP integrated business planning components while applying machine learning and large language model concepts to improve forecasting decision support and overall planning efficiency in a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture detailed planning requirements and translate them into integrated SAP planning designs that leverage advanced analytics for measurable business value.
- Design end to end functional architectures for SAP integrated business planning capabilities that incorporate order based planning demand management inventory optimization and sales and operations planning in a coherent solution.
- Configure and validate SAP integrated business planning modules including demand inventory supply and time series optimizer and control tower to support accurate planning scenarios and responsive supply chains.
- Coordinate data flows across SAP integrated business planning interfaces using SDI and CPI DS while defining robust data cleansing and transformation rules that ensure reliable planning inputs.
- Develop functional specifications that embed concepts of large language models machine learning and generative AI to improve forecast accuracy exception handling and planner productivity.
- Create and refine prompt engineering patterns for Microsoft Copilot Studio and other conversational interfaces so that planners can interact with planning data and simulations in an intuitive manner.
- Apply natural language processing techniques to structure unorganized planning inputs such as qualitative market feedback and planner notes into usable signals for integrated planning processes.
- Partner with data engineers to define data cleaning standardization and transformation approaches that improve the quality of demand supply and inventory signals across the planning landscape.
- Guide testing activities by preparing functional test scenarios validating end to end planning cycles and ensuring that integrated business planning outcomes align with expected business metrics.
- Document functional designs configuration decisions and planning process flows in a clear manner that supports future enhancements and knowledge transfer across global teams.
- Advise on the use of integrated business planning control tower for proactive monitoring alerting and resolution workflows that help planning teams respond faster to supply and demand disruptions.
- Optimize planning configurations and master data settings to balance service levels inventory investment and supply constraints while continuously improving system performance and user experience.
- Engage with cross functional teams to explore how generative AI and machine learning can support sustainable sourcing efficient production and responsible inventory practices that benefit customers and society.
Qualifications
- Combine approximately eight years of experience in intelligent planning or analytics roles with deep exposure to large language model concepts generative AI machine learning and prompt engineering for practical business use cases.
- Demonstrate hands on proficiency with Microsoft Copilot Studio and similar tools by designing conversational flows that support planners in scenario analysis root cause exploration and decision documentation.
- Exhibit strong understanding of natural language processing principles and their application in extracting insights from text based planning inputs market intelligence and operational feedback.
- Show extensive experience with SAP integrated business planning including modules for demand inventory supply and time series optimizer sales and operations planning control tower order based planning and related configuration activities.
- Apply advanced skills in data cleaning and transformation to integrate data from multiple operational and planning systems ensuring consistency completeness and readiness for AI enhanced planning models.
- Utilize experience with SAP integration technologies such as SDI and CPI DS to design reliable secure and performant data pipelines that support real time or near real time planning processes.
- Draw on practical exposure to cheminformatics or bioinformatics domains when relevant to interpret specialized product and research data that can influence demand patterns and supply planning.
- Work effectively in a hybrid model during day shifts while collaborating with diverse global teams documenting outcomes clearly and maintaining high standards of delivery without frequent travel.
Certifications Required
Preferred certifications include SAP Integrated Business Planning and a machine learning or generative AI certification from a recognized cloud provider.
