Blending our deep industry and technology advisory capabilities, we create innovative solutions for leading organisations worldwide. Now, we’re looking for our next colleague to help shape the future of insurance transformation.

About the role

As a Strategy & Transformation Consultant - Insurance, you will make an impact by leading critical workstreams across end-to-end transformation programmes for insurance clients. You will operate at the intersection of business, technology, and delivery—helping translate strategic objectives into practical, executable outcomes.

You will be a valued member of our Consulting team and work collaboratively with clients, senior stakeholders, and cross-functional Cognizant teams to deliver measurable business value.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the design and delivery of technology strategy and transformation initiatives across the insurance value chain (policy, claims, underwriting, and distribution)
  • Translate client strategy into structured roadmaps, operating models, and target-state architectures
  • Drive workstream delivery within complex transformation programmes, ensuring quality, timelines, and client outcomes are met
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders through workshops, governance forums, and advisory discussions
  • Identify and shape opportunities across digital, data, cloud, automation, and AI-led transformation

Work model

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.

The working arrangements for this role are accurate as of the date of posting and may evolve based on client and business needs.

What you must have to be considered:

  • Proven experience delivering technology strategy or transformation programmes within the insurance sector (General, Life, or Specialty)
  • Strong understanding of the insurance value chain, including policy, claims, underwriting, and distribution
  • Experience working with core insurance platforms (e.g. Guidewire, Duck Creek, or OIPA)
  • Ability to lead workstreams, manage stakeholders, and translate strategy into execution
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client engagement skills

These will help you succeed:

  • Experience defining target-state architectures, operating models, and transformation roadmaps
  • Exposure to cloud strategy, SaaS adoption, and ecosystem integration
  • Knowledge of data, analytics, and AI/GenAI applications within the insurance domain
  • Experience contributing to proposals, RFPs, or thought leadership initiatives
  • Advanced degree (e.g. MBA) or equivalent experience

We’re excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways. Don’t hesitate to apply—even if you don’t meet every requirement. Your transferable skills and unique experiences could make you the perfect fit.
