About the Role
As a Consulting Manager, Business Analyst – Security Master & Reference Data Management, you will make an impact by supporting the design, implementation, and governance of security master data and reference data within capital markets and asset servicing operations. You will bridge business and technology teams by leveraging deep expertise in systems such as InvestOne and Eagle to drive data quality, streamline onboarding workflows, and enable accurate downstream processing. You will be a valued member of the BFS Consulting team, collaborating with operations stakeholders, technology partners, data management teams, and clients.
In This Role, You Will:
• Manage and maintain the security master across platforms, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of instrument data (equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternatives)
• Translate business requirements for reference data into functional and technical specifications for technology teams
• Configure, test, and validate security and reference data within InvestOne and Eagle investment management platforms
• Partner with data vendors (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, FactSet) and internal teams to onboard new data feeds and resolve data quality issues
• Support end-to-end client onboarding, including security setup, data mapping, UAT, and go-live validation
• Write and execute complex queries across databases to support data validation, reconciliation, and reporting
• Drive governance of reference data management processes and contribute to data stewardship frameworks

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Pittsburgh, PA. What You Must Have to Be Considered
• 5+ years of experience in security master data management or reference data management within asset management or asset servicing environments
• Hands-on experience with InvestOne and/or Eagle investment management platforms
• Proven experience as a Business Functional Analyst bridging business operations and technology teams
• Deep understanding of capital markets instruments including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and structured products
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders
These Will Help You Succeed
• Experience integrating data from vendors such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, FactSet, or similar market data providers
• Familiarity with ETL processes, data mapping, and testing methodologies in financial services contexts
• Exposure to data governance frameworks, data stewardship, and master data management (MDM) best practices
• Ability to query and analyze data using SQL or similar tools (e.g., Snowflake, Oracle) for validation and reconciliation
• Certification or coursework in finance, data management, or business analysis
