Job Summary
Cloud architect role responsible for designing and optimizing secure scalable and resilient solutions on AWS using services such as container orchestration managed caching messaging and API management while ensuring strong governance and cost efficiency for enterprise clients in a hybrid work model with a focus on operational excellence and compliance alignment
Responsibilities
Design robust cloud reference architectures that leverage container orchestration managed caching distributed messaging and secure API exposure to deliver reliable and scalable business platforms that align with enterprise standards and long term technology strategyImplement and optimize container based workloads using managed orchestration and serverless container services to ensure consistent application deployment high availability and efficient resource utilization across multiple environmentsConfigure and manage managed caching services to reduce application latency optimize data retrieval patterns and improve overall system responsiveness while maintaining cost effectiveness and operational stabilityArchitect and integrate asynchronous messaging patterns using managed message queuing services to decouple application components increase fault tolerance and support high throughput transaction processing in complex distributed systemsDesign and govern API management solutions that provide secure controlled and observable access to backend services while enforcing usage policies request throttling and analytics to support partner and internal integration ecosystemsUtilize advisory tooling to continuously assess cost security performance and service limits providing actionable recommendations that improve reliability reduce operational risk and maintain budget alignment for cloud workloadsConfigure and maintain configuration management services to track resource changes enforce configuration policies and support compliance reporting across multiple accounts and environments for regulated and enterprise clientsDesign network topologies using virtual private networking connectivity options and routing configurations that provide secure segmentation high availability connectivity and optimized traffic flows between cloud and on premises environmentsImplement and tune web application protection capabilities including rule sets access controls and traffic inspection to defend applications against common threats while balancing security posture with application performance and usabilityManage and optimize multi account governance structures using organization management capabilities that support centralized policy enforcement consolidated billing and controlled account provisioning for large scale cloud adoptionDevelop and maintain command line driven automation workflows that streamline environment provisioning configuration management and operational tasks to reduce manual effort and improve consistency across deployment pipelinesCollaborate with cross functional teams including developers security specialists and operations professionals to translate solution requirements into feasible cloud designs while promoting best practices and shared ownership of outcomesProvide guidance and knowledge sharing to stakeholders on cloud architecture decision tradeoffs resilience patterns cost optimization techniques and migration strategies to support informed decision making and sustainable cloud growthDrive continuous improvement in observability incident response readiness and operational resilience by defining metrics dashboards and runbooks that align with business service level objectives and customer experience priorities
Qualifications
Possess eight to eleven years of professional experience in designing and implementing cloud or distributed systems solutions with a strong focus on enterprise scale adoption and operational excellenceDemonstrate advanced hands on expertise with managed container orchestration services including configuring clusters deploying workloads managing updates and optimizing resource usage for production environmentsShow proven experience configuring and tuning managed caching services message queuing platforms and API management solutions to support high performance low latency and loosely coupled application architecturesExhibit strong proficiency with security and governance services including web application protection advisory tools configuration management and organization level policies with a focus on compliance and risk mitigationDisplay solid knowledge of cloud networking concepts such as subnets routing connectivity options and traffic security controls combined with experience integrating cloud networks with on premises infrastructureApply practical skills with command line interfaces infrastructure scripting and automation tools to enable repeatable deployments efficient troubleshooting and consistent environment management across teamsCommunicate complex cloud architecture concepts and tradeoffs clearly to technical and non technical stakeholders while working effectively in a hybrid work model and collaborating across global or distributed teams
Certifications Required
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional or equivalent cloud architect certification
