Job Description
Principal Architect role for a hybrid day shift position requiring deep data architecture expertise in media and entertainment. The candidate will shape enterprise data strategy define scalable architectures and guide complex platform initiatives to improve content discovery audience insights and operational efficiency enabling impactful experiences for global customers.
Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive data architectures that enable secure scalable and efficient management of media metadata audience information and content usage patterns across hybrid environments
- Define target state data models and integration patterns that improve discoverability of media assets and streamline workflows across production distribution and consumption systems
- Drive architecture decisions for data platforms that support high volume streaming analytics and personalized content recommendations for media and entertainment applications
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business outcomes into practical data solutions that improve audience engagement and content monetization
- Establish data quality frameworks and governance practices that ensure consistency reliability and traceability of media and entertainment data across the enterprise
- Guide the selection and adoption of modern data technologies that align with performance scalability and cost objectives for hybrid cloud deployments in media focused ecosystems
- Create architecture standards reference designs and reusable patterns that accelerate delivery of data driven capabilities for editorial advertising and subscription models
- Oversee end to end data flows from ingestion of raw media feeds to curated data products that power reporting experimentation and real time decisions
- Coordinate with security and compliance teams to embed privacy by design principles into data architectures for viewer information and content rights management
- Provide architectural oversight to resolve complex data integration challenges between legacy broadcast systems and modern digital platforms in a hybrid work environment
- Mentor senior technical staff in advanced data architecture practices to build organizational capability in analytics and intelligent content experiences
- Engage with business stakeholders to demonstrate how robust data foundations improve operational efficiency audience insights and long term value creation in media and entertainment
- Analyze existing data solutions to identify gaps and execute modernization roadmaps that enhance reliability agility and societal impact through better access to information
Qualifications
- Bring extensive experience in enterprise data architecture including data modeling integration and governance in large scale organizations
- Demonstrate deep understanding of media and entertainment domains including content lifecycle distribution channels and audience measurement practices
- Apply advanced knowledge of analytics platforms data warehouses and streaming data technologies to build solutions for media centric use cases
- Exhibit strong capability in designing hybrid architectures spanning on premises and cloud environments with emphasis on data performance and resilience
- Utilize experience in collaborating with cross functional teams including product engineering operations and business stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes
- Possess background in implementing data quality frameworks metadata management and master data practices relevant to complex entertainment catalogs

The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 - $160,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
