About the Role
Cognizant is seeking an experienced SAP SD Consultant to join our enterprise applications team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD), EDI integrations, RICEF development coordination, and end-to-end project delivery. This role requires collaboration with global business and IT stakeholders to analyze requirements, design solutions, support development activities, and ensure successful implementation of SAP SD solutions.
In this role you will
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to SAP Sales and Distribution (SD).
- Design, configure, and support SAP SD solutions, including customer, material, pricing, and order management processes.
- Develop functional specifications and design documents for RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows).
- Work closely with technical teams to coordinate development and support custom SAP solutions.
- Support EDI integrations and troubleshoot interface-related issues.
- Perform configuration, system testing, end-to-end testing, and user acceptance testing activities.
- Analyze SD account assignment and revenue recognition processes to support business requirements.
- Debug ABAP programs and collaborate with developers to resolve system issues.
- Partner with onsite and offshore teams to clarify requirements, track deliverables, and support project execution.
- Present solution designs, functional specifications, and testing outcomes to business stakeholders and project teams.
- Drive issue resolution, risk mitigation, and change management activities throughout project lifecycles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, MM, FICO, and technical development teams.
- Support multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

What you need to have to be considered
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) functional experience.
- Strong experience in SAP SD design, configuration, and implementation.
- Experience with SAP master data setup including customer, material, and pricing configurations.
- Hands-on experience with SAP SD and EDI integrations.
- Strong understanding of SD account assignment and revenue recognition processes.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional specifications.
- Extensive RICEF experience including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows.
- Experience creating functional and technical specifications for ABAP custom developments.
- Ability to perform ABAP debugging and support issue analysis.
- Strong end-to-end testing, defect management, and deployment support experience.
- Experience coordinating development activities with onsite and offshore teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Experience working independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with multiple vendors and stakeholder groups.
These will help you stand out
- Prior experience supporting Apple SAP AOS or Country Rollout initiatives.
- BOPIS (Buy Online Pick Up In Store) and APU (Apple Pickup) process experience.
- SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
- Lead or mentoring experience within SAP project teams.
- Basic project management and delivery tracking experience.
- Experience presenting technical and functional solutions to business audiences of 10-20 participants.
- Experience working in large-scale global SAP transformation programs.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $83,600 - $129,500, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
