As a Senior EDM Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and supporting healthcare data solutions leveraging the EDM platform. You will be a valued member of the healthcare technology team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, architects, developers, analysts, and operations teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient healthcare solutions.
In this role, you will:
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications and data solutions within the EDM healthcare platform.
Analyze business requirements and implement solutions across healthcare domains including Claims, Encounters, Enrollment, and Provider data.
Develop and optimize database objects, SQL queries, stored procedures, SSIS packages, and automation scripts.
Support EDM platform integrations and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, batch processing, and data-related issues in production and non-production environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application enhancements, testing, deployments, and releases.
Manage source code using Git-based branching, merging, and version control best practices.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the development lifecycle.

What you need to have to be considered
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Strong hands-on experience developing and supporting solutions within the EDM healthcare platform.
Strong knowledge of EDM UI components and EDM data model architecture.
Experience working within healthcare domains including Claims, Encounters, Enrollment, and Provider data.
Experience supporting Medicare and Medicaid plans, products, and related business processes.
Strong proficiency in SQL, SSIS, Stored Procedures, and PowerShell scripting.
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex application, database, and data processing issues.
Experience using Git for source code management, branching, and merging.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and best practices.
These will help you stand out
Experience with Control-M or other enterprise scheduling and workload automation tools.
Strong understanding of healthcare payer operations and data workflows.
Experience designing scalable healthcare data integration solutions.
Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and performance optimization techniques.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $99K - $114K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
