React.js Developer
About the role
As a React.js Developer, you will make an impact by building responsive, scalable, and high-performing web applications that deliver intuitive user experiences. You will be a valued member of the application development team and collaborate with designers, developers, and other stakeholders to transform business and design requirements into reliable front-end solutions.
This position does not offer visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work without sponsorship now or in the future, including OPT, CPT, H1B or any other work authorization requiring employer sponsorship.
In this role, you will:
- Develop new user-facing features and web applications using React.js, Redux, and GraphQL.
- Build reusable React components and front-end libraries that support consistency, scalability, and future development.
- Translate designs and wireframes into clean, maintainable, and high-quality code.
- Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs and supporting services.
- Optimize application components for maximum performance across web-capable devices and modern browsers.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in a client or Cognizant office in Minneapolis MN. What you need to have to be considered
- Proficiency in React.js and a strong understanding of its core principles, component architecture, and reusable development patterns.
- Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience developing web applications using React and popular state-management workflows such as Redux.
- Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of front-end build tools, development pipelines, browser compatibility, and performance optimization.
These will help you stand out
- Experience working with GraphQL in production web applications.
- Knowledge of modern authentication and authorization mechanisms, including JSON Web Tokens.
- Experience designing or maintaining reusable front-end component libraries.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot front-end performance or integration challenges.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Compensation
The annual salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $140,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, subject to performance and applicable plan terms.
