Job Summary
This hybrid Functional Architect role focuses on designing and optimizing enterprise supply chain solutions powered by agentic AI and robust integration architectures. The candidate will translate complex business requirements into scalable functional designs that enhance procurement efficiency spend transparency and operational resilience while aligning with organizational strategies and improving societal value through more sustainable and responsive supply chain practice
Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive supply chain functional architectures that align with enterprise strategies and enable efficient end to end planning sourcing and fulfillment processes focused on delivering measurable business value through improved performance and resilience in daily operations.
- Oversee the translation of complex business requirements into detailed functional specifications for agentic AI driven solutions ensuring that automation and intelligent decision support are deployed in ways that enhance user experience and operational effectiveness.
- Provide guidance on integration architecture across multiple applications and platforms ensuring that data flows are consistent accurate and timely to support real time visibility and analytics for critical supply chain and procurement decisions.
- Drive the functional design of agentic AI capabilities that optimize inventory planning demand forecasting and exception management ensuring that AI models are grounded in practical scenarios and can be easily adopted by business stakeholders in their daily work.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to define end to end process maps for sourcing purchasing and logistics ensuring that functional designs address bottlenecks reduce manual effort and support transparent governance over procurement and supply chain activities.
- Coordinate solution validation through functional testing user acceptance testing and scenario walkthroughs ensuring that supply chain and integration functionalities perform as intended and meet performance usability and compliance expectations.
- Develop detailed functional documentation including process flows configuration logic and integration touchpoints to provide clear guidance for implementation teams and ongoing operations while enabling easier maintenance and future enhancements.
- Partner with data and analytics teams to define functional requirements for spend analysis and supply chain performance dashboards enabling decision makers to monitor costs risks and service levels and act quickly on insights generated by agentic AI and analytical models.
- Advise stakeholders on the functional implications of new integration patterns APIs and data exchange mechanisms ensuring that architectural choices support scalability security and future expansion without disrupting existing supply chain processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by assessing current supply chain and procurement processes identifying functional gaps and proposing enhancements that leverage agentic AI automation and improved integrations to reduce cycle times and operating costs.
- Coordinate with change management and training teams to define functional use cases scenarios and guidance materials that help business users adopt new supply chain and procurement capabilities smoothly and confidently in a hybrid work environment.
- Monitor solution performance and user feedback post deployment to identify functional refinements assessing how integration flows agentic AI recommendations and process changes affect daily operations and making targeted adjustments to sustain value.
- Contribute to organizational sustainability and social impact goals by designing functional capabilities that support ethical sourcing transparent supplier collaboration and more efficient resource utilization across the supply chain.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate extensive experience in functional architecture for complex supply chain environments with a proven track record of designing scalable solutions that support planning sourcing inventory and logistics for large enterprises.
- Possess deep practical knowledge of agentic AI concepts and tools applying them in functional designs to enable intelligent automation contextual recommendations and adaptive workflows across procurement and supply chain operations.
- Show strong expertise in integration architecture including defining functional requirements for interfaces data mappings and orchestration across ERP procurement analytics and logistics systems ensuring seamless end to end execution.
- Bring solid exposure to spend management analytics using data driven approaches to define functional requirements for categorization dashboards and insights that help organizations optimize costs and improve supplier performance.
- Apply experience in procurement process optimization to design streamlined approval workflows sourcing events and purchasing processes that reduce cycle times improve compliance and enhance overall user satisfaction.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in hybrid models collaborating with distributed teams and stakeholders while maintaining clear communication ownership of functional outcomes and alignment with organizational objectives.
Certifications Required
Preferred certifications include Supply Chain Management certification and AI or integration focused credentials such as CPIM CSCP or AI solution design certifications.
