Job Summary

This hybrid Technical Lead role focuses on architecting and guiding enterprise data governance and catalog solutions using Informatica cloud and metadata platforms. The role drives robust data lineage standardized metadata and governed data marketplaces to improve data quality compliance and business insight with particular benefit to property and casualty insurance operations and decision making while mentoring technical teams across day shifts in a stable no travel environment.


Responsibilities

  • Lead end to end design and implementation of cloud based data governance solutions that leverage Informatica Axon and enterprise data catalog capabilities to establish trusted data assets for business stakeholders across the organization.
  • Oversee configuration and optimization of Infa Cloud Data Governance and Catalog to create comprehensive data dictionaries lineage views and ownership models that improve transparency and reduce risk in data driven decision making.
  • Guide setup and administration of Infa Cloud Metadata Command Center to ensure accurate metadata harvesting standardized metadata policies and consistent monitoring of data quality metrics across diverse source and target systems.
  • Drive creation and enhancement of Infa Cloud Data Marketplace assets to enable curated and governed data sharing supporting self service analytics while enforcing compliance and appropriate usage controls.
  • Coordinate integration between Informatica Axon Data Govern and Informatica EDC to deliver a unified governance experience that links business terms technical metadata and data quality rules for holistic oversight.
  • Provide technical leadership to project teams by defining implementation patterns reviewing solution designs and resolving complex issues related to data ingestion profiling and cataloging workflows.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects data stewards and product teams to translate governance objectives into actionable technical configurations that align with corporate standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing usage patterns of catalogs and marketplaces identifying adoption barriers and implementing enhancements that simplify discovery and responsible use of data assets.
  • Coordinate hybrid work model practices by ensuring clear documentation standardized processes and effective communication channels so that on site and remote team members can deliver consistent outcomes during day shifts.
  • Direct creation of operational runbooks and support procedures for Informatica cloud governance platforms to enable smooth handover to support teams and reduction of incident resolution time.
  • Promote property and casualty insurance domain understanding by collaborating with business partners to capture product policy claims and underwriting data requirements and reflect them accurately in governed data assets.
  • Monitor key performance indicators for governance implementations such as data quality scores catalog coverage and time to data discovery to demonstrate tangible value to business and support strategic decisions.
  • Ensure alignment of governance solutions with organizational purpose by enabling responsible data use that supports fair pricing efficient claims handling and improved customer experiences in society.

  • Qualifications

  • Possess eight to twelve years of progressive experience in data engineering or data management roles with at least several years focused on technical leadership of complex enterprise data initiatives.
  • Demonstrate advanced expertise in Infa Cloud Data Governance and Catalog including hands on experience configuring domains attributes workflows and governance policies for large scale environments.
  • Show strong proficiency using Infa Cloud Metadata Command Center to orchestrate metadata extraction manage connectors schedule scans and maintain high quality metadata repositories.
  • Exhibit practical experience implementing and managing Infa Cloud Data Marketplace solutions that enable curated data products entitlement workflows and usage monitoring for business consumers.
  • Deliver proven hands on capability with Informatica Axon Data Govern and Informatica EDC including setting up glossaries systems data sets lineage and data quality rules that connect business and technical perspectives.
  • Apply solid understanding of property and casualty insurance concepts such as policies coverages claims processes and underwriting criteria to shape relevant data governance models when domain experience is available.
  • Command strong skills in SQL and general data integration concepts to collaborate effectively with data engineering teams and ensure governed data aligns with upstream ingestion and transformation pipelines.
  • Demonstrate experience working in hybrid delivery models and day shift schedules with the ability to manage distributed teams coordinate meetings and maintain productivity without travel requirements.
  • Communicate clearly with technical and non technical stakeholders producing concise documentation presenting governance outcomes and driving alignment around data ownership and stewardship responsibilities.
