Responsibilities : -Design robust IBM Sterling Order Management System architectures that support complex omnichannel order capture orchestration and fulfillment scenarios for a global enterprise customer base. -Develop detailed solution designs for Sterling OMS components that align with business requirements performance expectations and enterprise standards while ensuring maintainability and scalability. -Coordinate with product owners and business analysts to translate functional requirements into Sterling OMS configuration customizations and integration specifications that are clear and implementable. -Review Sterling OMS technical designs data models and process flows to ensure consistency reuse of components and adherence to best practices for order management platforms. -Optimize Sterling OMS performance by analyzing transaction volumes tuning configuration parameters and recommending infrastructure improvements that enhance throughput and response times. -Configure and oversee IBM Sterling OMS administration activities including environment setup property management deployment planning and monitoring of application health in hybrid work settings. -Guide development and support teams by providing Sterling OMS technical direction reviewing code and configurations and ensuring that implementation aligns with the target architecture. -Collaborate with integration teams to design and validate interfaces between Sterling OMS and upstream and downstream systems such as ecommerce platforms ERP systems and payment services. -Establish and maintain standards for logging alerting and operational dashboards in Sterling OMS to enable early detection of issues and proactive system tuning. -Create and maintain detailed technical documentation including architecture diagrams configuration catalogs and runbooks that support efficient operations and future enhancements. -Support defect analysis and incident resolution by performing root cause investigations in Sterling OMS environments and driving corrective and preventive actions that reduce recurrence. -Engage with quality engineering teams to define test strategies for Sterling OMS including performance regression and integration testing to ensure high reliability of order flows. -Assess new Sterling OMS features patches and releases to recommend adoption plans that deliver business value while minimizing risk and disruption to existing operations. -Assist in planning and executing Sterling OMS upgrade activities by defining migration strategies validating compatibility and supporting dry runs and production cutovers. -Advocate for secure design practices in Sterling OMS configurations and integrations to protect customer data transaction integrity and compliance with corporate security policies. -Coordinate with infrastructure and database teams to ensure Sterling OMS environments are appropriately sized resilient and aligned with high availability and disaster recovery objectives. -Train and mentor project team members on key aspects of Sterling OMS concepts administrative tasks and troubleshooting techniques to build sustainable internal capability. -Participate in effort estimation and planning for Sterling OMS initiatives by providing architectural insights identifying dependencies and highlighting technical risks and mitigation actions. -Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline Sterling OMS processes reduce manual interventions and enhance automation in deployment and operations. -Ensure alignment of Sterling OMS solutions with overall enterprise architecture roadmaps so that order management capabilities evolve in harmony with broader technology strategies. -Engage with stakeholders to communicate architectural decisions platform constraints and tradeoffs in a clear and concise manner that supports informed decision making. -Qualifications -Possess a bachelor degree or higher in computer science information technology or a related discipline with substantial experience in enterprise application design and implementation. -Demonstrate between seven and nine years of overall professional experience with a significant focus on order management platforms and complex distributed systems. -Show deep hands on expertise in IBM Sterling Order Management System including configuration pipeline design rule authoring and extension development for large scale deployments. -Exhibit strong experience in IBM Sterling OMS administration such as environment provisioning property management deployment coordination and performance tuning activities. -Apply solid understanding of integration patterns using REST based services message queues or enterprise integration tools to connect Sterling OMS with external systems. -Utilize practical knowledge of relational databases SQL and data modeling concepts to support Sterling OMS data design query optimization and troubleshooting tasks. -Demonstrate proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language commonly used with Sterling OMS customization and automation efforts. -Display strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex production issues in Sterling OMS and implement effective long term solutions. -Communicate clearly in spoken and written form with distributed teams and stakeholders to document designs explain options and support collaborative decisions. -Adapt to hybrid work arrangements by effectively using collaboration tools managing time
