Job summary
GeoSpatial Analyst MAP will analyze complex geospatial data sets using Splunk Admin capabilities to deliver actionable insights that enhance operational efficiency and strategic planning across the enterprise. The role involves hybrid work in a day shift schedule and focuses on building robust monitoring solutions that improve resilience transparency and data driven decision making for business and society.
Responsibilities
- Analyze diverse geospatial data sources using Splunk configurations to generate clear operational and strategic insights that help internal teams make timely and informed decisions across regions and functions.
- Develop and maintain Splunk dashboards tailored to geospatial metrics that allow stakeholders to monitor performance trends identify anomalies and track key indicators that support long term organizational objectives.
- Configure Splunk data ingestion pipelines for geospatial feeds to ensure reliable collection indexing and search performance that supports high quality analytics and minimizes downtime across critical business workflows.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to translate complex geospatial and operational requirements into efficient Splunk search queries and visualizations that address real business problems and improve service outcomes.
- Optimize Splunk search performance for large scale geospatial datasets by tuning queries indexes and resource usage to deliver fast accurate results that enable timely responses to emerging risks and opportunities.
- Implement data quality checks and validation routines for geospatial inputs within Splunk to ensure that downstream analyses reports and alerts remain trustworthy and support responsible decision making.
- Support hybrid work collaboration by documenting Splunk configurations dashboards and geo analytics processes in an accessible manner that allows distributed teams to operate smoothly and maintain continuity.
- Integrate relevant external geospatial data sources with internal Splunk environments to expand analytical coverage enrich context for patterns and help the organization understand regional impacts on operations and communities.
- Provide clear analytical summaries and recommendations based on Splunk geospatial outputs that guide business teams toward actions which reduce risk improve resource allocation and strengthen societal impact.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity and infrastructure specialists to maintain secure and stable Splunk environments for geospatial analysis ensuring compliance with organizational standards and protecting sensitive information.
- Design alerting mechanisms in Splunk based on geospatial thresholds and trends so that operational teams can respond quickly to incidents service disruptions or emerging demand patterns in specific locations.
- Document repeatable analytic workflows for geospatial investigations in Splunk to support continuous improvement knowledge sharing and scalability of analytical capabilities across the enterprise.
- Participate in periodic reviews of geospatial analytics use cases to refine Splunk configurations and reporting structures ensuring that solutions remain aligned with evolving business strategies and societal expectations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate practical experience in Splunk administration including index management data onboarding query optimization and dashboard development that supports reliable analytic outcomes.
- Apply working knowledge of geospatial concepts such as coordinates projections and spatial relationships to interpret data patterns and provide context aware insights in day to day analyses.
- Utilize familiarity with GIS tools or mapping platforms to enhance visualization of Splunk data outputs and create intuitive views that make complex spatial information understandable for non technical stakeholders.
- Exhibit strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to transform raw technical data into concise narratives and recommendations that support business decision processes.
- Communicate findings effectively through written summaries and presentations that explain geospatial trends Splunk metrics and their implications for operations customers and communities.
- Manage multiple analytical tasks within a hybrid work model by organizing priorities collaborating asynchronously and maintaining consistent progress across projects with minimal supervision.
