Job Summary
This hybrid Functional Lead role focuses on designing and optimizing integrated SAP production planning and materials management processes across a global enterprise. The candidate will configure and support SAP PP and MM capabilities to improve planning accuracy shop floor execution material availability and engineering change control enabling resilient supply chains and sustainable operations.
Responsibilities
- Drive end to end design and configuration of SAP production planning processes to ensure reliable planning cycles and consistent supply outcomes across plants and distribution centers.
- Coordinate demand management setup in SAP to translate business forecasts into executable plans that balance service levels inventory health and capacity utilization.
- Optimize sales and operations planning scenarios in SAP to align demand supply and financial targets supporting data driven decision making for business stakeholders.
- Configure batch management within SAP to enable precise batch tracking shelf life control and compliance with internal quality standards across the product lifecycle.
- Administer long term planning models in SAP to simulate capacity investments material strategies and technology changes enabling proactive strategic planning decisions.
- Streamline shop floor execution flows in SAP by designing user friendly order processing confirmations and reporting that improve operator efficiency and data accuracy.
- Manage variant configuration structures in SAP so that complex configurable products can be planned costed and produced accurately with minimal manual intervention.
- Implement and maintain process order execution for process industries in SAP to ensure robust integration between production recipes quality controls and material consumption.
- Govern engineering change management processes in SAP to ensure that new or revised designs are systematically controlled and correctly reflected in bills of material routings and production versions.
- Collaborate closely with materials management teams to align material requirement planning parameters and rules that improve component availability while reducing excess and obsolete stock.
- Provide structured IT business support by analyzing incidents enhancements and change requests translating them into robust SAP solutions that protect system stability.
- Document functional designs configuration decisions and test scenarios in a clear and reusable format to support knowledge continuity and future enhancements.
- Partner with engineering and design teams to integrate product data and design changes into SAP so that production documentation remains accurate and traceable.
- Guide business users through hybrid working practices by designing processes and tools that support both remote and on site collaboration around planning and execution activities.
- Perform impact analysis for SAP changes across modules to reduce risk and to preserve end to end process integrity for planning procurement production and inventory.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using system analytics to identify planning bottlenecks material issues and execution delays that can be resolved through SAP enhancements.
- Support testing cycles by preparing realistic test data coordinating user validation and ensuring that new solutions perform reliably under day shift operations in the hybrid model.
Qualifications
- Combine six to nine years of hands on experience in SAP production planning with clear responsibility for batch management demand management and shop floor execution in complex environments.
- Demonstrate practical expertise in sales and operations planning long term planning and variant configuration within SAP to support configurable products and multi site planning.
- Show strong skills in material requirement planning and related materials management processes ensuring accurate supply planning and timely procurement actions.
- Exhibit solid experience in process order execution and process industry scenarios reflecting deep understanding of process manufacturing requirements.
- Apply working knowledge of engineering change management within SAP to control design changes and maintain accurate production master data.
- Bring domain background in IT business support or engineering and design in order to bridge business expectations with SAP capabilities and practical solutions.
- Communicate complex SAP concepts in clear inclusive language and collaborate effectively with diverse teams operating in a hybrid working model.
- Display strong analytical capabilities to troubleshoot issues identify root causes and propose targeted SAP improvements that create measurable business value.
Certifications Required
Preferred SAP Certified Application Associate in Production Planning and Manufacturing or equivalent SAP PP MM certification
